For our first time going there was a absolute let down. Family members not working were going in and out of the kitchen.One of them wasnt representing the family with class by sagging showing undies.The atmosphere was classles. The lady cooking had a lot on her hands and she needed much help so I cant blame her for the hour wait I totaly understand she was doing her best.My advice is to shape up the atmosphere secure the kitchen to working staff only! Traveled to many fish houses and this one wasnt what I thought! I didnt do a social media review only because im not one to tare down a black owned business I rather just leave my honest opinon!

It was really great being able to go to a Soulfood place that was not too far for me. The only issue with the food was that I asked for catfish, but I received tilapia. I asked for a two piece meal initially and a seven piece fish, and five piece prawn, which came up to $40 for both orders. I decided to make it a family meal which was $3 more! I received about 20 pieces of fish, which was tilapia NOT CATFISH (4) oysters, a small green , one small Mac and Cheese (5) prawns. The greens were pretty tasty but the fish was absolutely bland no salt whatsoever. I don’t know if I would recommend this place to any of my friends, but everyone has their own opinion on what they like. Based on my experience, I don’t think that I would go back again.

Place stinks as soon as usual walk in. Smells like dirty homeless people. Tables dirty. Food cooked in old grease. My oysters was half burnt half raw. Don't go . You will get sick.

Love this place will definitely be coming back! Let me start off with the great parts, the oxtails will have you ready to tear up if you are missing that little bit of home feeling especially if you from the country, the red snapper is great no fishy taste at all was made perfect and fresh! The potato salad was great! Especially if you love that deviled egg kinda feel , as for the Mac and cheese it's cool kinda basic I've had worse but I've also had better the loving seems to be going mainly into the main dishes, it still has that homey feeling just needs some pepper or something, the greens were cool as well they were greens kinda missing that meaty flavor but that's probably because they want to be inclusive to other types of people that don't eat meat ,still good tho I respect it and would order again, the hush puppies were good gave kinda a cornbread feel if you're looking for that fish taste in there I'd get something else tho I don't really care for that taste to much so it was perfect for me, the prawns were pretty standard I mean it's fried shrimp what do you expect? It's clean fresh and the batter it's fried is was really nice, my only fault was when it came to the catfish it was pretty fishy for my liking definitely will just stick to the red snapper next time, and also for how expensive the oxtail plate was I'd think I'd get more that 3 little nuggets other than that it's still so good I'd order again still have the peach cobbler to try will update after ! And as for the service it was wonderful felt like I was talking to family but still professional, very nice, very on top of things, almost forgot my potato salad and came and got me from the parking lot and threw in an extra one for the very minor inconvenience, also if your looking for something super quick maybe look else where as it's not no fast food it's that fresh take some time food but man it's so worth it, don't get me wrong the wait time isn't ridiculous at all for what your getting, if you want cheap fast food go to Wendy's or something here you wait for the quality that your given

Fish and dessert are quite good; however, the new (very young cashiers have no customer service skills. Spotty hours for open time. Half the time no desserts as advertised.

Delicious food. Flavorful greens and yummy potato salad. The fish is fried just right. The only downside was the Mac n cheese because it was a little boring. All in all a fantastic meal with fast courteous service.
