Illegally selling gift certificates and scam the customer to purchase it. We purchased $120 in Duke bakery gift certificates on November 24th 2022 for $100 cash. Went to use them April 7th 2024 and was told that they had expired. On the Gift certificates themselves is text reading, "This certificate may only be redeemed by the original recipient. Only one redemption per visit. Expires in one year", but gift certificates are not allowed to expire under California law, and Federal law prohibits expiration dates earlier than five years. This breach of the law resulted in a loss of $100 on our part. Had to file a fraud report on federal trade commission.

Give me the frozen cake to without any pologize. Bad customer service. And I called for the reason, they do not have any patient to explain. And said it is normal to give me frozen food.

Duke Bakery offer better varieties of bread compared to other 2 known Asian bakeries chain. Wish Founder hire attendant(s) with better English skills than now. Will easily gain mainstream customers with better communication inside each shop.

Came here last minute, looking for a cake. The lady was very nice and friendly and I ended up getting a mango cake, which was $36. It was a cute cake, but certain parts were frozen, which was not the best. Overall an okay place but the cake for the price was just okay.

Easily my favorite local bakery. Bread doesn’t taste like it has chemicals or preservatives (i.e. 85c) and they need to be eaten within a few days. My favorites are probably the azuki loaf and anything with coffee + chocolate.

They have some breads/buns that other bakeries don't have. We love the strawberry cream bread, the banana cream bread and the mango mochi bun. The chocolate coffee bread with walnut is also good, but wish the coffee flavor is a bit stronger. Unlike other Chinese bakeries, their bread itself is less sweet, so when combined with sweet fillings, the sweet level overall is perfect for me. Haven't tried their savory breads since I can get that for less at other bakeries. Looking forward to some great inventions on the savory side, and I think they will be awesome.

Tried to use a Dining Advantage voucher that I bought. Said there's no such thing. Refused to honor it.

My daughter bought some bread home from Duke Bakery and it's delicious. Love all the bread. Rich fillings topped with seeds and nuts.

Spacious and clean. The bakery stuff we bought were decent. A bit pricey?

Just ok- everything is ultra plastic-packaged, beautifully presented, and on the expensive side. I ordered: 1. Pineapple wine bread- not as delicious as it would sound. The flavor was very mild and not something I would buy again. 2. Uji matcha bread: at the potluck this was the least eaten thing. It looked and sounded awesome but was dry and very mild in flavor. Maybe if you are having a minimalist tea party with no other sugars, it would taste ok? Personally I prefer bakeries that don't use so much plastic for packaging and have more bright flavors. I have lots of friends who love this place, but it just didn't work for me. Service was very kind and friendly and the place was super clean. The location is very convenient, near main street, and parking is easy as well. I just was disappointed with the lack of flavor.

I'm kinda surprised this bakery is still in business, given many great bakeries around with cheaper prices and daily fresh products. So thinking of supporting them, I went in today to buy different breads for friend's birthday, BUT came out disappointed. prices are so much higher than JJ or 85 and staff was rude and unfriendly.

I brought all the bread each to give it a try. All of them are not not good at all. Since it's a lot of bread, it should be two bags but the lady who wrapped the breads tried to push it in one bag .

My favorite bakery for Chinese pastries. Great variety of flavors to try. I always make a stop when I'm in socal. The portion size is huge though. Not fun if you're the type to sample a bunch at a time. They do say to keep refrigerated or in the freezer if you don't plan on eating same day, but definitely changes the texture.
