The owner persistently promotes their low-cost dishes and tends to give you a bad attitude if you don't buy them.

All Chinese restaurants here pay the original price in cash. This is the only one that pays in cash and adds tax. The menu says 9.98. I gave 10 yuan and was told that it was not enough. It cost 11 yuan. I asked the old man at the cashier if he pays in cash and adds tax? The old man also started educating people, saying that the United States will raise taxes on everything. It was so funny! Don’t you know how much tax you have to declare yourself? And it tastes very bad. It doesn’t taste like Chinese food or American Chinese food! The chopsticks and napkins are all hidden ? You have to ask him for them before he can bring them to you from the cabinet!

Don’t listen to what foreigners say, it’s delicious. Chinese people don’t lie to Chinese people!

What bothers me the most is not that they ONLY accept Zelle, Venmo, and cash. It's that they still ask customers to pay them taxes (10.25%) when you zelle/Venmo them?!….Food was also mediocre at best. Meanwhile, it is not very consistent (either too bland or too salty). Most importantly, most most dishes we had were just not that authentic.Meh. I would not recommend this place!

This is a great place to pick up some authentic Cantonese style take out without breaking the bank. It's located inside the sunright building, so it can be hard to find. They only take cash. If you are looking for something that your parents used to cook and you're tired of 99 ranch or Panda Express, this is the place to go!

We must not go to his home to eat, expensive and bad, ordered three dishes and half a fish to add a knife, 12 knife more, to give less, the key health is not good after the stomach pain for several days. Be careful

The food selection is always good and convenient. Prices and portion are fair. The 4 item bento is my go to. The tofu, pork feet, 3 cup chicken and smoked chicken are some of my favorite items.

After spending the weekend in Big Bear, we stopped in Arcadia to get dinner before making the long drive back to Santa Barbara. It was a chilly day and I saw this place had beef noodle soup on the menu, so I decided to give it a try. They are located in President Square, a shopping plaza along Golden W Avenue. Parking is decent, with a good amount of spaces. The entrance to the food court is between Full House Seafood Restaurant and Sunright Tea Studio. Once you're inside, Hsin Hsin Shau May Deli is straight ahead. Indoor seating is plentiful; a lot of the neighboring food stalls appear to be permanently closed unfortunately. The serving style here resembles a cafeteria line. Simply let the staff know which entrees and/or sides you want to order. Most of the dishes were not labeled in English or Chinese, so you may have to ask questions if you're not very unfamiliar with the food. I saw chow mein, stir fry vegetables, mixed vegetables, mapo tofu, dumplings, fried rice, braised pork, and other chicken/beef entrees. Everything was very affordable. If my Google Translate is accurate, you can choose three entrees for under $10, and it comes with rice/porridge and soup on the side. They also have bowls of noodle soup for under $12. The beef noodle soup was heartwarming! Each piece of meat was soft and tender. There was a good amount of bok choy included. The broth was on the saltier and oilier side, but was manageable. While I'd say Northern Cafe has better noodles, the ones here were still satisfying. If you're trying to find a place that serves inexpensive and tasty food, look no further!

2022.11.28 Normally Cash only although you can use the handwritten Zelle option behind the register.Home style cafeteria, you do not have to speak Chinese as at least 50% of the customers just point.Nothing is labeled, you can ask and do your best to figure out what each item is if you are not familiar.Prices are great, under $8 for 2 item combo and a little over $9 for 3 item combo,Generous portions, decent flavors. We tried:Kung pao chicken (no peanuts included) Tofu and fish - slight spice although it looks basic EggplantTomato eggDuckComes with a soup, broth with some veg.Rice or noodle option. If you get a three item the rice or noodle will come in a separate container.Decent place decent price.

Decent food, but portions are quite a bit smaller than similar places like Kang Kang or oriental express.

First time trying Hsin Hsin Shau May Deli after shopping at the next door 99 Ranch Market. This restaurant is located inside of the food court going past Sunright. Inside this food court there's other small restaurants that serve various types of food. This particular shop caught my eye because they had already cooked food ready to order. Heads up, cash only! They have combo dishes, where you can get either rice/noodles with a few side dishes of protein. They also come with soup, which is nice. Portion sizes are pretty decent. For about $8~$9 you can get like a meal and a half or two meals if you choose all protein. I don't eat much in one sitting so it's like 2 meals in one. I would say that the quality of the food is ok. It's filling, it's bang for your buck. It's really basic food, like marinated chicken, tofu, veggies..etc. If you're lazy to make it yourself, you can order it here. If I'm stuck hungry after shopping at 99 Ranch I may come back to try their other dishes.

Upon entering building and turning right to buy a drink at sunright, I noticed a strong Chinese herb smell. It was female ginseng (當歸). I initially only wanted a drink and ended buying a duck thin noodle with female ginseng soup. It was the right taste, not too strong, not too mild. It was only $11.99 and so worth it. Will definitely buy again and have it when it gets cold. Btw, the owners were nice and greeted us when they saw us. It was located inside a food court with many stores already out of business. Hopefully, it can stay in business during this hard time.
