Hmm... did they change owners? Food tastes different, portion size changed and the items in their bentos changed.

Absolutely delicious Beef Soup. Great customer service.

The service is great, and the beef noodles are just unbelievably amazing!??????

The food was great. This is more of a take out restaurant but we sat down. The staff was very gracious. The food tasted like home cooking and not greasy like other Chinese food places.

this is best Taiwan style food in Arcadia. I tried a lot of different food in this area. This is the best one. Very nice Service and delicious food.

Worst oysters pancake ever. Tastesless - the oysters are not fresh - the egg is hard and the vegetables bitter n glue is not chewy. I seriously doubted the Chef is Taiwanese. The pork chop bento is also very dry. Major disappointment. the pickled raddish should be rinsed first or it'll be too salty. Why so hard to find decent Taiwanese food in LA. They only good ones left are Why Thirsty and Mr. Kuso Cafe - all chinese restaurants rice should be firmer like mideastern rice

Order Taiwanese fried pork chop bento. The flavor was more on the average side and rice tasted like overnight rice but the owner seemed friendly.

Didn't know the ownership has changed until I sat down in the restaurant and noticed it looked different. May's Cafe definitely has a special place in my heart, I will miss Vicky for sure. Business seems slower but I was pleasantly surprised the new owner still offers very authentic Taiwanese taste! Owner seemed very quiet but was actually very nice if you talk to him. He told me he grew up at a night market in Taipei. I would say the old and new are different but both good in their own way, just like there's no identical curry or ramen. Got stinky tofu, fried assortment (chicken, green bean, fish cake, tofu, sausage), beef noodle soup, bamboo, steamed veggie. Portions were big and everything was good! (besides noodles a bit too soft for my taste and I think I'll ask for less salt next time)

I was so worried going there with all the negative ratings, but everything was wonderful. The smelly bean curd was simply delightful. The chitterling noodles was also good. The portions are very large, we did not finish. The place is very small so expect a wait for seating.

Super good Taiwanese 碗粿

Used to come here back in Highschool, but it's not the same anymore. The popcorn chicken has cartilage and bones in it, the flavor is also really bland in contrast to how it smells. The Taiwanese sausage doesn't have much flavor, tasted like it got boiled in water and lost all its original flavors.

Wanted to support the local businesses so I decided to drop by here since I was in the area. It's a small hole in the wall place so ordering take out is probably a better option with a few tables inside. Some of their revamped menu is in chinese, whereas the english one is posted behind the counter. I was quite impressed with their portion size, including their huge 5 piece fried shrimp with curry, bok choi, egg on rice. Their curry doesn't have the usual taste, but it is worth a try. They also serve noodle soup, such as lamb and beef stew, rice bowls, snack sides, and entrees. Prep time is quite long, so it's best to call in ahead if possible. Recommended!

Horrible service. Cancelled my online order within 40 minutes of me placing it without warning. Did not receive food.
