I really love old coffee shops my sister-in-law and her parents live in Monterey park.and met a beautiful blonde lady named kristy .plus I play just down the street at dan’s shack every Thursday Friday and Saturday nights. I can’t believe it’s still around.it has cool vibe like going back in time.I’ll have to go again just for old memories ❤️

feeling left out...we wanted to be there for the last days... I was delighted to see 4 empty seats at the counter..a waitress told me",we can't serve you, you have to put your name down"...while waiting,4 empty seats were starring at me for 40 minutes, two older gentlemen walk in an seat down and were served promptly..after 40 minutes waiting ,I'd ask the older lady about my turn and then she said "there're 10 people ahead of you"...meanwhile were plenty empties seats at the counter for me and my wife...we'd walk away for the last time...I'm feeling left out and sad that we couldn't eat at Rob's grille for the last time!...wishing you guys the best!Carlos

Good Food, good friendly services and has a great 50's 60's Diner feel ..... Even if we cannot turn back the clock but have retro feels to enjoy the food here.Vegetarian options: The Vegetable Soup is so good, healthy choice !

I'm honestly going to miss this comfy, vintage style restaurant. Nice folks, nice atmosphere, nice food, historical photos and all that stuff.

Wonderful diner and neighborhood institution. The biscuits and gravy were especially on point.

Had a very nice late breakfast, early lunch with my wife and a friend yesterday. Good food, reasonable prices and fast, friendly service.

Came here with my wife, I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits tasted mushy, and the gravy was pretty bland. The inside looks like you're stepping into the early 1970's. The service was okay. This place needs some serious upgrades.

As a child my parents would take us to Rod's. In those days they had several locations & were very nice restaurants and the type of place mom would have us wear a tie to.During this visit I ordered toe pork chops and eggs accompanied by fruit and an English muffin. The pork chops were very quite good. I liked the selection of fruit which was not dominated by melon. The eggs were well prepared. The only negative is the place has a run down look.

This is a great restaurant. We went here for breakfast today and everything about it was perfect. It's a cute diner, the coffee tasted outstanding and they kept refilling our cups regularly. The food was also very good with large portions. Rarely is everything so perfect when we go out now a days but this restaurant was exceptional. Glad we tried it, we'll definitely be back.
