Great selection of tea!

I am a fan of Wing Hop Fung. I come to this store every time when I'm in Los Angeles for the herbs ingredients, and teas they have in the store. I trusted their reputation. They are excellent in quality and customer service.I also like to check out the teapots and the Feng Shui decorations they have on the sales floor. I really enjoyed my visit to Wing Hop Fung every time.

Interesting market with lots of herbs and teas.

My family has been visiting there and purchasing ginseng for at least 8 years, but recently they refused to service if spending less than $150 (new policy), even very close to this amount. We live in Arcadia and don’t want to purchase a one year supply in one visit, it’s not good to keep the freshness, but the ginseng sales always pushes you and refused to service my family only $10 away from $150. It’s time to say bye and change another store. You are losing your loyal customer.

As you're walking in you see so many beautiful items that catch your attention. I noticed a variety of snacks I picked ginger candy and my Son showed me the teas section. My goodness the aroma and endless tea flavors I was in heaven. I had no idea we could sample until my Son asked. I tried the Apple Verbena Fruit Tea and was in heaven the flavor is so delicious is makes you want to close your eyes and enjoy. Our sample was hot tea however the very kind and helpful ladies in the tea section also told us we can enjoy it as iced tea. I purchased half a pound and also saw many beautiful tea sets. I'll be back and look at other flavors the Apple Verbena is truly a thin slice of Heaven in a cup.

Amazing place!! The best selection of tea and tea accessories I have ever seen, and a very impressive selection of top quality wine and spirits. Hard to find high quality alcohol in limited edition packaging and gift packs. If you need to get something special for and anniversary or some other occasion, this is the place. Staff is friendly and helpful. So many surprises too, the cookware section is also not to be missed. Make sure you have time when you visit, so much to see.

This happened several months ago but I recently was talking to some friends of mine and they encouraged me to post my experiences online so that others can avoid the same problem I ran into.I was shopping for tea on a Friday afternoon about a year ago and decided to look at some tea wares. I picked up a nice looking gaiwan that I was considering buying. The lid was poorly taped to the tray/shelf so when I went to lift it the lid stuck to the tray which caused me to drop and break the lid. I felt bad so I took responsibility for the mistake and offered to pay for the gaiwan as a gesture of good will to Wing Hop Fung since as I saw it the fault of the gaiwan breaking was probably both mine (for dropping it) and theirs (for having an item poorly secured). Gaiwans are typically less than $20 so the mistake was honestly not that big of a deal for me financially speaking. And, since only the lid broke I figured I could use a different lid at home and the same gaiwan to cut my losses.I then picked out some teas and went to the register and they rung me up for over $300 - claiming the gaiwan was part of a set and I had to pay $200 for the full set including a tea kettle (that didn't even match) and a full set up small cups. We argued back and forth for over 30 minutes until finally they bullied me into paying $80 for the gaiwan and the cups.I later looked online and learned two things that really soured me on Wing Hop Fung. First, I learned that they had lied to me and the item was not in fact part of a set but that they tried to add items to my order. Second, I looked into California law and learned that the "you break it you buy it" only applies to customer negligence which I truly believe I did not show. I made a good faith effort to safely pick up the item and it broke because of a packaging mistake made by Wing Hop Fung. Legally speaking, the negligence was theirs and my offer to buy the item was a nice gesture.Ultimately, I think Wing Hop Fung bullied me into spending money on items I wasn't legally required to buy and that I did not want to buy. My friends have encouraged me to get the word out about these bad business practices. We agree that it's dangerous to shop here and do not think they represent good business practices or a safe place for people to shop.I'm disappointed. I thought I found a local source of good tea to buy in person. I spend several hundred dollars a year on tea and wanted to find a local business to support. That business is not Wing Hop Fung and I'm not willing to shop at Wing Hop Fung ever again. I'd much rather spend money to buy tea online from sources I trust rather than shop in person where I have to be afraid that I'll be blamed for things that aren't my fault and bullied into spending money I don't want to spend and legally don't have to spend. I hope they are happy with the $80 they bullied me into spending as opposed to making a good customer for life that would have spend hundreds per year buying tea from them.

Interesting packaged foods and excellent selection of teas, both loose leaf and packaged. You can also get tea in brick or disc form.

Nice stuff in here. The loose tea smells divine.

This was the 2nd Wing Hop Fung, that we visited in a week. This was located in Promenade mall in Arcadia, very fancy & very attractive displays of tea, wine, ginseng roots, and kitchen gadgets.
