“We have tried Hunans, Panda Cafe, Chins, and Curry Leaf. We finally found our go to Chinese spot in Humboldt. The lunch plates we got were yummy and left all three of us satisfied. We will definitely be coming back. The Sweet and Sour was crispy and tender. The Mongolian beef was delicious.“
“We went here on 420... and we are two healthy people who don't typically go out to eat, never mind dabbling in Chinese buffet. But we thought.. "screw it" let's give this place a try. It's been a long week. We saw the reviews so honestly weren't expecting much. We thought maybe there will be one hot bar and a dimly lit room. And I'm happy to say... we WERE WRONG! This place is indeed located in a sketchy strip mall but the interior is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. A few chandeliers, plenty of seating, and a HUGE buffet! There were dozens of healthy and delicious vegetarian dishes, as well as your nostalgic fried Chinese American choices (chicken on a stick, cheese wontons, chicken fingers). The service is fast, efficient and friendly! The food was so much more fresh than I was expecting. I mean it's a buffet people, you get what you get but as far as I'm concerned this place scores above most restaurants in this area. For the price point all you can eat you really can't go wrong. We will definitely be back.“
“I'm so picky about Chinese food! We recently moved here and it's always a struggle to fine new favorites. The pork fried rice is delicious! Great service! They use a light batter for items that are deep fried. I've tried the shrimp & sweet & sour chicken. The egg rolls are interesting-different! We were pleasantly surprised by the freshness & quality of the food. I think about that pork fried rice often!! Give them a try!!“
“We’ve been here a few times and have had great experiences every time. The staff are friendly, the service is great, the prices are good (especially the lunch specials), and the food is tasty. Plus they have more vegetarian options than a lot of other places which I appreciate.“
“Some of the best food in town. Lovely couple runs the place. Try the 8 Treasures Clay Pot, the Eggplant Special, the war wonton soup. Perfect vegetables every time, never overcooked. The fried shrimp is so crispy, you'll die. ? Have to give a mention to the sesame balls, the crab cheese wantons, and the bao buns.They also have half orders for lunch, so that was cool.“
“First try I loved the egg foo yung It was just what I was looking for. The only reason 4 stars is the appetizer platter is not so good especially for the price, I did like the egg rolls though . But regular meals at great prices the first time there will be back ! Very nice people and definitely a old school cute chinese restaurant.“

“I'm not sure why people are complaining about the food or the service. This is probably one of the rare food places in this town that has decent food for a good price. The lady that works there is quiet, stern and prompt, but that's just in her culture. I never got sick and I purchased three plates and had them as left overs for the week that I was stuck in this small town. They tend to get busy in the evening, otherwise the food is tasty.“
“I loved it! I'm Brazilian and their food is super tasty and authentic!! I'd never tried BAO before and enjoyed it a lot. I found it amazing that they really are Chinese and Brazilians cooking, so it really tastes like it's from there. It's worth every penny to get to know a bit more about the culture of other countries and to eat properly served and tasty dishes. I definitely recommend it ❤️“
