Vegan ice cream can be hard to come by. Vegan soft serve? Forget about it.But this guy makes the best soft serve I've EVER had. No joke, when people ask me my favorite dessert, I say redwood yogurt's non dairy vanilla.And it's just vanilla!! Not a top flavor of mine usually but it's the only non dairy option he's got. But it doesn't matter one bit!The vanilla bean is rich and invigorating, the ice cream itself is silky smooth and so creamy, you'd never know it wasn't the traditional cow's milk. I believe he makes it with almond milk. And don't forget a waffle cone! They're vegan too and go perfectly with the soft serve.The space itself is awesome too. Unique and eclectic seating, a piano to play if you like, local artwork all over the walls, and dozens of flyers so you can pursue local events. The guy who runs this place is kind and hardworking, a bit of an enigma. Maybe a soft serve sorcerer? Don't miss out on this Arcata gem! :)

Redwood Yogurt is a part of our community. That place has been here forever, and it's my personal favorite of the yogurt shops in Humboldt as both a kid and adult (but of course, taste is subjective). I like most of the flavors and he gives me samples of new ones so it's a great life. They seem like good honest people, and I appreciate that.
