yeah! i normally love this place my tip didn't change but the size of my serving to go did!!! way less food.......it was too noticeable to not give a comment! they said the containers were back up but we're just gonna keep 'em to their word....same food , but way less live! i was not satisfied ! i will check again to see if they return to same cardboard box containers with sand portions but will droo em like a bad date just to keep em honest! No love lost but I'm still hungry. nd I notice being shorted in the name of higher profits

I really love this place. I order the fish tacos or yogi bowl often. The fries are amazing! Only downside is the place is SO busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Like insane. We ordered food online at 6:30 and it said it would be ready at 7pm. We got a drink and it took another half and hour! Let me do that math for ya. ONE HOUR to get tacos, a sandwich and fries ! If it's gonna take an hour then tell me that. Don't said 30 minutes and deliver at 60. That's not nice to hungry people.

South G kitchen is a cool spot in the south of G street in Arcata California. I hesitate to say it's a food truck even though it is because it's permanently parked at the redwood curtain brewery. So you have access to amenities like tables to eat at and bathrooms. The beer at the brewery is not bad and the bartenders are super welcoming. The location is slightly unfortunate but the parking is great and the food is worth it. It's a good jump off point if you are heading south. The elevated Californian bar food is really the thing you are here for. There are some healthy options and the food is outstandingly delicious! The black garlic aioli is a delicacy on its own honestly. Yes, great burgers and especially fries but also salads and fun bowls. I've obviously been here many times. Tonight I had the grilled fish Katsu sandwich and the Parmesan Black Garlic Fries. The fries have this extra crunchy quality and they are correctly crisp. The pickled daikon and sesame slaw on the sandwich was fresh, touchingly acidic, and added a nice crunch to the sandwich. I liked the spicy mayo but wondered if I wanted more black garlic aioli. The bun isn't overly remarkable but it's a good vehicle for the properly cooked fish and previously described garnishes. I ordered online. My food was done before the estimated time. Fairly priced and high quality food. What can I say? The place hits! P.S When I realized I forgot to take a picture it was too late and nothing looked as pretty as it did when I got it. So no picture. Also I wrote this last night but I'm posting it today.

Quick service, friendly staff, casual environment next to the brewery. We got the brussel sprouts and the Danky bread, both super delicious! Plus it was bingo night when we went. Great find for food on this trip

Delicious food clearly made by people who love their craft. Can't wait to visit them again.

This place was delicious! My partner and I were visiting Arcata at the end of December and obviously needed to stop at some breweries, so when we wanted to find some outdoor seating for a beer and a snack, we chose redwood curtain/south g kitchen. We weren't super hungry, so we just wanted a snack. We were eying the danky bread, but they were out of it so we went to our next option, the Brussels and peanuts. I am so glad they were out of the danky bread because these were INCREDIBLE and gave us everything we wanted/needed! It was a crispy and crunch and also creamy and some spiciness and acid. We liked it so much we were wondering if we could make something similar ourselves at home. I will say as an fyi that if you have allergies to cashews and macadamia nuts, there were a few mixed in with the peanuts--I'm not sure if that's normal for them or not! We don't have food allergies so it was just a fun surprise for us! The service was friendly and fast, and we love being able to sit outside and look at the redwoods while enjoying our food.

Excellent food. I come to get their smash burger at least once a week. Haven't tried too many of their other things, since I don't love fried food, but that burger hits great every time.

Yogi bowl was great and healthy! Love the variety of greens and veggies. Tofu was fried just right.

The food I received from this food truck was good and it was served up quickly. If that's all you need then you could read this as a 4 star review. Unfortunately, the employees are unnecessarily rude, gruff, and generally unfriendly. It was like I was inconveniencing them by ordering. It appears they must be trying for this persona as it was the person taking my order and a different person who handed me my food. I made no special requests except to ask if I could get a knife when I picked up. In response, I was just told, "No". Not, "There's utensils and napkins in that door." The awesome staff at Redwood Curtain was super helpful and assisted me with what I needed.

Danny and his crew are killing it. This yogi bowl is absolutely packed with flavor and lasts me two whole meals. We’ve also gotten the jetty tacos, smash burger and brussel spouts. You just try the Rings of Fire; Delecata squash breaded and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar with a ridiculously good dipping sauce. Everything is high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Their host is Redwood Curtain Brewing Co. So you can stop by for a meal AND a small batch brew.
