Was driving back home from our weekend getaway in Avila Beach. Was searching for a place to grab a. I e breakfast and my wife found Francisco's Country Kitchen. Short drive odd the 101, but so well worth the little detour. My wife ordered the machaca breakfast which came with flour tortillas and she got half beans and half potatoes as suggested by our server. I saw the rib eye steak and eggs special on the chalk board as we entered the restaurant. My wife is picky about her beans and she said she really liked the beans on her breakfast. My steak and eggs were prepared perfectly. My over medium eggs had runny yolk, but cooked thoroughly whites. The potatoes was tasty and cooked just right. My steak was seasoned to perfection and was full of flavor. I love breakfast and this place was the bomb.

They were short handed so service was a little slow. Nice menu choices. Friendly crew and a nice breakfast.

Outstanding food and service!!! First time here and we have finally found our go to breakfast place! E had the chili verde omelet and the corned beef ham and eggs. The omelet was amazing and perfectly cooked as was the corned beef hash which was cooked to crispy perfection! We will be back to try other menu items!!! Excellent service! We were greeted as though long time customers and the service continues at that level throughout the meal!!!

Not impressed with the "beer battered" fish & chips. Batter had no seasoning, and the texture felt like dry cardboard. If you Google beer battered fish, it looks nothing like the fried fish I was served here. Very disappointed to pay $14 for this.

Wanted so much to like it When they were located by the 101 near Halcyon road. The name is still on the empty building. Their new location is pleasant enough but the dining area seems small. The service was very good. The people are always pleasant but the food has lost its zest and was very bland. Nothing really wrong but not much flavour. But the prices, Ouch! We were hit with sticker shock when the bill came. Should have been less but we ended up close to 75 dollars for what should have stood out. We know everything is expensive these days with CA economy but that was a bit too much we felt. Especially when you cook yourself and know how good food should turn out and taste. Some items were decent while others lacked any flavour. Good but not great.

CJ's Café, 611 E. Grand Ave., Arroyo Grande has you beat by far. At CJ's Café everyone there is super nice and loyal!

Nice place in a good location. Business was slow, with only one customer in the whole place when we walked in. We got 3 orders of waffles to go, which were more soggy than crispy. We did get a whole cup of syrup on the side, which was nice. The waitress seemed annoyed at something, which stuck with me afterwards, but I would consider giving this place another chance & updating my review.Kid-friendliness: Many kid-friendly options

While the food was not terrible, I was quite disappointed once I paid the bill. There was a 3% fee for using my credit card, a $1 charge for sliced pasteurized cheese on my omelette, and another $1 charge for I'm guessing a large OJ. The service was definitely not to my par as I should have been informed about these charges upfront and a refill on my ice tea would have been nice. I definitely will NOT return.

Good food, nice people, great service, lacks atmosphere.
When we travel we always try to find local non-franchise places to eat, Francisco’s didn’t disappoint. They have a variety of dishes that cover what ever you’re craving for breakfast. The prices are bit high but the portions make it all worth it. Breakfast along with good cup of coffee, Francisco’s is the the place!
