It's all about the Food here. Very friendly service. Expect to wait for your order, but it is worth the wait. This place is not much about atmosphere, just great food at good prices. I highly recommend the Beef Ribs and Macaroni Salad.

This was my first time here. I came because I heard the food and service was so great. Well, I haven't tried the food yet but the service is NOT good. The old man at the counter was not friendly at all. He didn't care it was my first visit, like the customer before me.He didn't tell me how long the wait would be, like all the others before me. He was just plain RUDE. I probably won't come back, unless the food is good. In that case, I will try a different location.

Amazing place their katsu chicken and bbq chicken is really good. Personally I put sriracha all over it since I like my food with a bit of spice to it. Macaroni salad is really good too didn’t think I’d be a fan. Kind staff as well.

Ordered their combo plates (-$16-$17): Kamoa (bbq chicken and katsu chicken) and Momena (bbq chicken, Kallie ribs and beef ribs). The taste is out of this world. The ribs, oh the ribs is so delicious, moist, pulled easily from the bone. The portion is good for two meals so the price is pretty inexpensive. Will come again to try their loco moco.

No longer my favorite local Hawaiian joint. RIP.I ordered the Pipi and the Ka Moa plates and they came out completely terrible. My Pipi plate was filled with burnt kalbi ribs filled with thick yellow fat all over. There were hardly any pieces with any meat. The beef ribs were COMPLETELY burnt and two of the bones literally went into trash because there was NO meat.Ka Moa plate had the katsu which tasted like it was fried twice filled with fatty cartilage filled chicken breast. The Chicken teriyaki was burnt all over.Not sure what is going on here, but management needs to step up or this place is next in line to shut down from losing customers.

My family and I recently dined at 808 Local Hawaiian Grill in Artesia and had a fantastic experience. The staff, especially Paul, provided excellent service even during busy hours. The Beef Ribs were tender and flavorful, practically falling off the bone. The Hawaiian BBQ chicken in The Ka Moa dish was delicious and not dry. We also tried The Pipi (beef), Spam musubi, hot dog & egg musubi--all were delightful. The variety of Hawaiian Sun canned drinks was a nice touch. The place offers ample parking and can accommodate around 20 for indoor dining. Looking forward to returning to try their poke. Highly recommend!
Hands down I say if I ever got to pick what my last meal would be I would chose this place. The food is beyond great and delicious the guy that's always working is very welcoming and friendly and I just wish the were open later into the eve. But if you're wanting something good this place is the spot. 10

Outside of Hawaii, I can't say I'm a fan of Hawaiian food in California.. BUT! 808 is the true exception. Their ribs are to die for! I absolutely love the ribs with some rice and fukake seasoning and their green salad! We recommend to all our friends and family and we are loyal customers

Found this on yelp, was craving Hawaii food....but wish we didn't go here...If you've ever been to Hawaii and had the authentic local food, it's not made like this and does not taste like this. Not even close.Photos attached of what we ordered. Visually looks delicious until we took a bite and it's just all fat and burnt beefy ribs. Overcooked!Loco moco patty was also over cooked and DRY also they had a heavy hand of pepper on it basically wasn't seasoned otherwise. Little to no sauce on it. The only decent thing was the egg, but the egg wasn't really cooked well either because there was unevenness in the yolk and the whites.The sauce they use for their salad is basically Asian hoisin sauce. Disappointing.Macaroni had a heavy hand of mayo and was on the sweeter side. Basically mayo mixed with sugar. And I love macaroni but this was so gross because it had way too much mayo.Also, to note we saw someone come back in the door with a beef plate when they ordered chicken (the workers got an order mixed up) and saw the workers give the beef plate to someone else. A customer already TOUCHED the order you gave them and they didn't remake a fresh one, just gave that beef plate to someone else. That is NOT safe for consumption and common sense for restaurants that if the food is returned it goes into the trash. Overall, not worth coming here. Super disappointed because of the rave reviews on yelp was expecting it to be legit and authentic. But this is very much not authentic Hawaiian food. HARD PASS.
