The Beef Pepper Lunch was delicious, but for the price, their meat portions were really small and the dish was mostly rice. You have to pay for all sides, and the basic dish only comes with rice & corn. I added mushrooms to mine. It would be better if it came with more veggies by default, and increased their meat portions. All dishes come out on a hot grill so you can cook to your liking. If you're a fan of crunchy rice, you can press it on the grill to make it crispy. Also tried their curry Hamburg dish but the Hamburg was really tiny. Again, taste was great but for the price... I would expect more meat & other ingredients. Still, a good spot to check out for causal lunch. Service was good and food came out quickly.

We were not too happy with the amount of meat from our order. We got the jumbo classic beef pepper rice, and when our order came out, it didn't have a lot of meat as described! Also, the parking at this location is horrible, and the spaces are way too tight.

Visited this place on a Monday morning. My first time here with friends. I ordered the Kimchi Beef. It was delicious. The young lady that took our order was patient and went over the selections with us. I will definitely return.

Pepper Lunch exceeded my expectations! The jumbo beef sizzling plate was fantastic--tender beef, well-seasoned rice, and the added bonus of complimentary sides for Yelp check-in made it even better. The affordability of the meal was a pleasant surprise. The availability of various sauces and seasonings at the counter allowed me to customize my dish. I'm definitely planning to return and explore more options. A solid 5/5 experience. This location has a lot more seating than the other ones. Service was great too!

The place isn't too busy, we went around 6pm. You pay at the front first and you seat yourself. The food was brought out to us. Other than that, it was self service as everything you could get yourself.I would say the food is pretty consistent with the other Pepper Lunch locations I've been to. It is just okay, nothing too wow about the food. I got the jumbo beef pepper rice, the meat to rice ration was not that great considering I got jumbo meat. The meat is very thinly sliced and you don't quite get enoguh meat for the rice. You mostly flavor the food yourself with the seasonings they provide since the food in general is bland, yhe only downside is the seasoning provided are a bit limited. Overall it was decent, but maybe not the place for me.

Compared to other Pepper lunch I've been to including the Alhambra and Irvine locations, I would say this location is the easiest to get seating. Food quality is consistently good since I normally just order the original pepper beef which sometimes may be a little salty but not to the extent of overly. Service is pretty quick turn around, just order at the front and the table number cards are already on the table so you just pay and they'll tell you what table you can sit at. I would say the few times coming to this location, it ranges from 30-70% capacity which is great since other two locations sometimes has a wait for open tables. Don't forget to yelp check-in for a free side while it's available whenever you read this. Fries were very crispy like double fried which is good.

Good food, but far from a smooth experience. The staff is trying but there's just too much demand on the weekends. Typical crowded parking lot too with everyone getting tired and pushy.

Recently, my boyfriend came over and had lunch with my family for the first time, so I chose Pepper Lunch, seeing that it would cater to everyone and was a place we would all be trying for the first time. Since the hype of Pepper Lunch was gone, the restaurant wasn't too crowded and seating was readily available. When we came into the restaurant, it was a bit confusing because the kiosks were not working. When my parents were at the cashier, she told us to look at the menus above the kiosks and then come back and place the order with her. We all ordered something different. We got the beef pepper rice, the salmon and Angus steak combo, the Angus cut steak, the curry chicken karaage, and the creamy beef pasta. I feel like everything came out the way we expected it to be, though some dishes were a bit too peppery (I know it's called Pepper Lunch). Regardless, we were all satisfied with our meals and the portions.

I like this Artesia location better than the Irvine location; although there's no outdoor seating here, the interior of Artesia location is much more spacious, bright, and modern in design. The food is consistent with the other locations: tasty, flavorful, and fresh ingredients that come out fast. Recommend the yaki udon and sweet potato wedges. Good place to grab quick meal in a self-service restaurant.

Food 3/5The food was "good" but at the end of the day, I feel very basic. The dishes had toppings that you would in reality assemble with household veggies. The meat is good but not "flavorful." Compared to what you can get at KBBQ it's really hard to justify dining here.Service 3/5Good customer service but it didn't feel very enthusiastic. There's no self service area so you have to ask for napkins and no easily visible trash can as well so you leave your food their for staff to clean.

Food (4/5)I ordered the Jumbo Beef Pepper Rice and I added an egg to it. It was what I was expecting, I wish there was more seasoning though. They have a few sauces at the table but they didn't seem to compliment my dish. My boyfriend ordered the Salmon and Steak combo, he enjoyed it but didn't think it was memorable. We also got onion rings and they were pretty good. Overall, a good place for comfort food but a bit overpriced for what it is IMO.Service (4/5)You order and pay at the counter, the food is brought out after. Amenities were more self-serviced, but the person that took our order was nice and helped us if needed. Ambiance (5/5)They have a good amount of seating and good music playing. Located next to a few boba spots!
