If you're craving for some bomb-ass Chinese food, go check out Rice on Dish! My BF and I decided to order some take out for dinner here and omg let me tell you - literally EVERYTHING we ordered was SO good. House Special Fish Fillet ($16) - If there's anything you order here, ORDER THIS. The seasoning is so flavorful and the hint of spiciness from the jalapenos makes it 10x better! 5/5 Braised String Beans ($12) - Crispy, garlicky, fried green beans. Need I say more? Perfect veggie side dish 5/5 French Style Filet Mignon ($18) - One of the pricier entrees and for good reason. These bite-sized babies are tender af and will literally melt in your mouth. My only gripe is that their portion size for this specific entree is very tiny :( 4/5 Hainan chicken ($16) - Good, but has a lot of bones. Don't expect Savoy-Kitchen-style Hainan chicken. It's a little different here, but still good nonetheless! 4/5 Orange Chicken ($14) - This is probably my least fav dish here. Smaller chicken pieces than what I was expecting and not juicy at all. IMO, Panda Express' Orange Chicken tastes much better 2/5 All in all, Rice on Dish is a really solid, authentic, hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant! I've been here twice now and both times the food has been all-around amazing.

We are impressed so far! House special eggplant was delicious! We ordered 5 dishes and loved all of them. Food was freshly cooked and service was efficient and friendly. We will return to try the rest of their menu... but so far so good! Enjoy

First to to dine here. Craving for congee. It's a clean and quiet place to have a relaxed dinner. Food was good. Ordered seafood porridge, chow fun house special at an affordable price. Service was prompt and the wait for food to be served was quick. Will try their other items in their menu next time.

The food is even better when you dine-in! I've been ordering delivery from Rice on Dish for the past year, as it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area by a wide margin. Only one other restaurant in the area comes close to the 626 when it comes to taste. Pretty much all the other Chinese restaurants I've been to in the surrounding area either tastes too bland, overly salty, or too oily. The French Style Filet Mignon, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Braised String Beans are some of the best dishes here. I wouldn't say every single dish here is good, but that's true for all restaurants. If you do take-out or delivery, the food is still good, but I was surprised by how much better it was when you eat at the restaurant.

Amazing food! Amazing staff! I will always come back here! However they have no air conditioning and it’s very hot outside which is very unfortunate in the summer

Went on a Sunday for dinner and it was very quiet. That was nice since my baby was sleeping and my daughter prefers to be in less crowded places. Waitress was accommodating and welcoming. If she could have cut my food and fed me, I'm sure she would have Lol The place is very clean. I loved the collages on the wall; one Cambodia and the other China. I ordered the hai nan chicken, chicken porridge, filet mignon stir fry and basil fish. The food was good. My daughter loved the chicken porridge and I enjoyed the fish the most. The filet had great flavor but had the texture of firm tofu. I didn't mind since the onions and flavors balanced it out. I love supporting small businesses. It's definitely something you should try but I am biased for fish sauce and other ingredients that I didn't find here and I wouldn't come back.

This place is legit good! I love the owner's cooking. Go to favorites are house special crispy noodles, salt and pepper pork chops, house special fish fillet, shaken beef and Vietnamese cat fish soup. Actually everything here is pretty good!

Oh man. I usually don't post negative reviews but had to with this one. Ordered four dishes and had four sub par dishes, very close to verging on awful. We actually couldn't eat most of it and ended up leaving based purely on food quality. Everything tasted like heated frozen food with way too much salt drizzled in used oil. If you're craving nasty food and an upset stomach, you found your next place.

Try everything!! This was kinda random for us to eat here. We don’t live in Norwalk nor do we know anyone but we happened to be coming back from LAX meaning to go to another restaurant but ended up here instead. Best happy accident!! We loved every minute of it. Every single dish was incredible. The service was super genuine. We will be back for sure!!

I definitely see the appeal of this cute little mom and pop shop. It gained a lot of popularity with some instafamous folks that featured their humble restaurant to give some promotion. I had to try since so many dishes looked enticing. Managed to convince my parents to come by and they are of the older Asian generation where there is always something to complain about. Surprisingly, however, nothing to complain about here. Dined here at lunch hour on a Saturday. It's not a big shop but it had a constant ebb and flow of customers dining here. It's in the Cerritos Ranch 99 plaza on Pioneer and there's plenty of parking (along with plenty of bad drivers/ parkers).. but you can manage. This plaza has changed a lot since I have been back but this venue was easy to find. Entering we were quickly seated at a large table. They accommodated younger diners with plastic forks and spoons. Everything was clean and comfortably spaced out so you weren't too close to the next family. They have a great menu and I had to restrain myself from ordering everything. Combo Fried Rice: Looks pretty run of the mill but they seasoned this VERY well. It was tasty and a good rice dish to feed littles with (veggies, shrimp, meat, etc.) Definitely a solid pass. Salt and Pepper Pork Chop: very well cooked and seasoned. No complaints with this one. Definitely something to order with the rice and they were generous on the peppers. Yummy! Crispy house noodle: it has a great gravy that mixes with the crunchy birds nest base. So good. it's one of the dishes I crave. Salt and Pepper Shrimp: this one... was just ok. I've definitely had better. I think the shrimp was a bit too chewy and when the shell sticks to the shrimp it indicates frozen to fried.. which is fine.. but just I've had better and they don't have a fresh seafood tank at this particular venue. Can't ding them for my personal preference. Beef Chow Mein: this was DELICIOUS. Dry style with bean sprouts. it's my dad's favorite and this reheats well to be just as tasty the next day. Hainan chicken: my first time having this dish. Something new for me. The chicken was very soft and flavorful. Pea Sprouts: MY FAVORITE. Omg this was such a delicious dish. I love pea sprouts. and it was cooked just right with lots of garlic and not over cooked to be soggy. LOVED this with the combination of everything else we ordered. Most of all, and as others have commented, this is genuinely a family owned business. The lady working the front must have been one of the owners. She was kind and motherly and checked in with everyone to ensure they were having a pleasant dining experience. I almost felt bad that she didn't have much help and was running around with the busy influx of customers. She works VERY hard and it shows. I highly recommend this place and hope others will come enjoy the various dishes. I will absolutely be back.. and do highly recommend. It's solid and tasty and very unique in its offerings. GO SUPPORT SMALL FAMILY BUSINESSES!! Can't wait to try more things on the menu!

Delicious! Stir fried veggie dishes are go-to. Love the crispy fried flounder. Unbelievably reasonable prices, and friendly service.
