Rico's tacos el tio is permanently closed at this location. Never got the chance to try, I was going to get a vampiro.

The only thing good about this place is the brand new building in the shiny sign. Nice big parking lot empty with no customers. Was the third car in the drive-through and it still took like 20 minutes just for one burrito. So I was hoping for a nice big flavorful burrito but all I got was a small Kearny Asada burrito which I was happy the tortilla was nice and cooked not Ross like most restaurants but once I've been into the burrito I said never again the most clean burrito I've ever ate in my life.I mean Are seasonings really that expensive? that you can't season the food while you cook it.Definitely won't book mark this spot. I don't understand how people can invest so much money in a brand new business and serve food like this if it wasn't for the location they probably be out of business.

I took a shot in the dark ordering from this place via DoorDash. My order: -Carne Asada burrito, added avocado -32 OZ Coke Why I gave it only 3 stars: -Food was pretty good, but I've had better. I'd never discourage anyone from going here. -My order was packaged in a plastic bag, the burrito was in a small brown paper bag, my drink was in another small brown paper bag. Some extras (I forget what, I didn't eat them) were also packaged in the same bag as the burrito, along with napkins and a straw. The straw was stapled to the bag and therefore jacked up. I had to rip the draw out, then cut the end off, so it was a bit short for me to use but I made do. My order was accurate and the meat wasn't bad at all. Usually, carne asada is really good or it really sucks. For some reason, I was expecting a bigger burrito, but I'm glad it wasn't. This concludes my review, that auto text Yelp! uses to "cheer" me on as I type can now stop, it's useless to me.

I hate to say this because the people here are very nice but the food is just way to meh for the price. This for me is exactly what a 3 star restaurant is on Yelp...not bad but not good either.

My husband and I are OVERJOYED this place has opened up so close to our home. My husband grew up in Hawthorne, and went to the original spot regularly as a teenager and adult. He introduced me to it years ago, and I've been in love since then. Alas, always driving to the Imperial location from East Long Beach became a trek to say the least, so when we spotted a restaurant with the same exact name a block from my parents house, we got curious. Sure enough, it was the same spot (run by the brother of the Imperial location owner), and the quality was spot on. Mind you, we exclusively come here for the Asada burrito. It is just your basic asada, onion and cilantro mix, but the salsa and bean mix inside just makes this item top notch in our books. Personally, I don't think you can come by a more authentic asada burrito. I hope this spot thrives, and I highly encourage everyone to go try it. It's been at least half a dozen restaurants over the years when I was growing up in Cerritos, but I hope this is the last and permanent business to occupy the spot.

Tried this place out, I was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and wears masks. The food was delicious especially the tacos and carne asada quesadilla. The salsa is flavorful. I'm ready to try more off their menu! As I taste more of their menu.. I will be updating my review.

nasty food, don't come here!! I got a torta de asada and it was small as hell! felt like a kids meal! and they're pretty expensive. But when you're hungry you pretty much eat anything. expect to spend big bucks on this nasty place

I thought I would try this place out. So I put in my order at drive thru. The problem was that the cashier had his mask on. But he didn't have his nose covered. I canceled my order and left. This was on 11/18 at 4:45 pm. I won't try this place again until the pandemic is over.

2/5 Food -/5 Service -/5 Decor (Drive thru) This is the infamous location where every business closed. It used to be Wendy's, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, now Mexican again. I loved Wendy's, but closed. The Albertaco's was good but it closed again. I never tried the other businesses but ah wells. ~ Food ~ 2/5 Chicken Torta The cut the bread unevenly, which left it soggy on the top and the bread-heavy bottom. They threw on a sprinkle of lettuce, no avocado, and old chicken. The side salsa is ok but the torta by itself was one-note: salty. 1/5 Carnitas Nachos If I pay $10 for nachos, it better be awesome. Sadly, the cheese was even melted and it tasted like processed cheese. It also had a bad taste, like dirty socks. The carnitas was greasy and old, as if it was been sitting for a couple days. Some pieces were dry and tough. The avocados. Oh lord, they put avocado that was starting to turn black. You wouldn't serve it to your children, why would you serve your customers? The chips were ok, and so was the pico de gallo and sour cream. I should have had al pastor or carne asada. I might try this place again, but with all other Mexican places around, why should I? Being this expensive, I would rather go to Tacos y Amor. Now I need a nap cuz it's so heavy.

Really good food, ordered a burrito de asada and tacos de pollo. Generous portions and the agua fresas are really good! Had a agua de limon and it was so good!

Carne Asada burrito was excellent I thought the salsa was spicy but still really good.

I got sick of driving out to Norwalk and La Palma for Burritos. I was going to hit up A burrito joint when I decided to give this place a shot. I was Got in and out of the drive through in less than 2 min. I thought it was a solid asada burrito. Holy cow it was good. Thank Tio! I'm coming here from now on.

I had 2 Asada, 1 Lengua, & 2 Al Pastor. All my tacos came with two tortillas and well served. They were very tasty . I will be back. Quick tip if you are driving west on Artesia You have to stop a** it then make a u turn.

I'm so happy to have a Ricos Tacos El Tio be build near my home. The original spot is 30 minutes away. I love their Burritos de Asada and tacos de asada. Be sure to order it as is with chile. Bomb.com. It's a must after a long day or to get through the drive thru to enjoy with a beer at home.
