Food was very good! I had the shrimp enchiladas and they were very tasty. The table service was a little lethargic and we had to ask for more ice tea a couple times. Parking in old Town can be a challenge at lunch time but we managed.

In Old Town Auburn, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is always delicious, and the customer service is wonderful. I highly recommend this place! Enjoy!

I am so happy to see one in Auburn! I don't live up here but I absolutely love this place. The hot sauce is sooooo good. I always get a chicken quesadilla and it's always perfect. Staff is nice as well.

The service and food was excellent. I was part of seven guy lunch group ( we rotate around Auburn on Thursdays) who showed up around noon for lunch. The place is pretty large with two dining areas and a full bar area. As we came in our drink orders were taken and salsa and chips placed on the table. After we all arrived our orders were taken. We ordered across the menu and everything was authentic and tasty. The cubed pork in my Chimichanga was very moist, tender and tasty. Our server was timely showing up if we need a beer refill or anything else. We get one check and it was correct and professionally handled. We, as a group, decided we should come back. Parking is somewhat difficult as this place is in Old Town Auburn. There is lots of parking in a public lot but one has to walk a bit.

My family has been eating at Cafe D for many years and it's always good! This is a 'locals' favorite spot for sure. Great service, delicious fresh made salsa, a full bar with Lisa, the best bartender in town, and all the traditional Mexican dishes you need. It's not Fresh-mex or Tex-mex, it's real Mex and locals love it!

Took 45 min to order almost left Now charging 3.59 or more for the free salad and raised the plate price After 30 years of loving this place now it's all over priced crap we both tossed our food Not worth it anymore Saw the waitress argue with one lady overcharging her 38.00 for extra cheese and those no longer free salad When she asked if we wanted the salad she didn't say was included or extra , we had to ask Since they put in the bar behind the chairs on the right it's all about drinking now

I've been dining here for almost 3 decades now and it's been consistently good. Service is typically friendly and helpful. Food is very consistent and ample portion sizes. I would stick to the classics if you're looking for something reliable. My favorites are the Huevos a Caballo and Chili Colorado. The salsa tastes fresh and has a gentle / building heat, though I recommend adding a little salt. If you don't go in expecting gourmet Mexican food, you'll be pleasantly surprised by this staple of Old Town Auburn.Parking: There are free parking lots on Lincoln Way and Park St, as well as a small lot next to the Alehouse. Street parking if you can find a spot.

The shrimp fajitas were terrible. Served on a regular plate...not served on a sizzling skillet all hot and delicious. The shrimp were too salty. The veggies were soggy and gross. Why did I come here?!
