We were in a hungry, on our way to a memorial service. We stopped in let the ladies know our time constraints. Ordered eggs, bacon;&toast. They rushed our order. My over medium eggs were perfect. We really appreciate all the staff who were a part of getting us on our way! We'll have to plan to stop in again & take our time to enjoy other menue choices.

Underwhelming food. The gravy didn't have flavor nor did the chicken fried steak. Not just this restaurant but most need to understand that you're the chef so you season the before it gets to the table. I know some people like things different but there is a middle ground. Eggs still need seasoning. I don't think I should have to bring a rack of spices to eat breakfast. Just season things it's not hard.

Old school style cafe with enormous portions. Delicious breakfasts (omelettes with mounds of toppings), fancy pancakes, tasty OJ and coffee that keeps on coming. The servers are friendly and attentive.

What a cute diner it is! We stopped here for lunch on our way back and had a very filling and delicious meal. Personable service and really cozy inside. My mushroom and Swiss omelet was fluffy and tasty. So much food and we needed to walk around a little before getting back in our car. We were able to park right in front of the restaurant by luck (there was a single spot open) but there are plenty of parking alongside the street, and there's a parking lot right next to the restaurant as well, which we didn't see until later.

What's not to like about Edelweiss? I had a great mid-week lunch after a long drive and discovered this unique restaurant. I got there before the rush of lunch hour and got a great seating location to view the out side activity of Auburn. (Note: I was able to see my 1st Tesla-Semi truck maneuver and park in the gas station across the street to deliver Pepsi. Quite entertaining as it had to maneuver around another standard 18 wheeler to park; driver did a perfect job).
It has an excellent prime rib lunch. The mashed potatoes are made from scratch and the gravy is scrumptious. The service is quick and the place is very clean.

The food is absolutely delicious. The country potatoes were my favorite. The portions could feed a small army. I was working out of town and had two meals from my plate. The bakery goods were fresh and the service was terrific! Definitely try this spot if you are in town.

Stopped in after a nice day of hiking and was famished. After checking the overall ratings here on yelp I wasn't sure what to expect. Some are high, others say overrated. I found it to be just fine. Nice people, friendly atmosphere, and yes, dang good omelettes! I guess it depends on what your expectations are but I liked it. Not fancy, but homey and welcoming. Diner fare that hits the spot. I will be back!
All good. It gets crowded and is in a small venue, but if you're patient the food is pretty good and perhaps priced reasonably.
