Always great meals and entertainment while being cooked! I drive from Arizona and that is the place to go for our family! I heard they closed during Covid but praying they will be open when we get to Bakersfield next week!

Since my 1st visit 16 years ago, I've said this is my favorite restaurant in town and I understand shutdowns during the pandemic but I've tried visiting them during their posted dining hours 4 times over the past month and they're never open and don't answer the phones (when there isn't a busy signal).It's so disappointing but I've accepted it's time to move on and won't be wasting my time trying eat there anymore. ?

This restaurant is closed and apparently has been closed since the pandemic started. Nothing online says it's closed and there were no signs at the location to indicate they were closed. We were visiting for a day from out of town and it was just disappointing that there was no info posted anywhere.

We love this restaurant. All of the staff members are friendly and I appreciate their attention to details that make our frequent visits enjoyable. It's pricey but worth it. The dinner portions are large and I usually end up with some food leftover. I try to save room for the green tea ice cream that comes with the dinner.

I haven't been here in years, but I've always loved this restaurant. I have fond memories of lunches with friends and family, birthdays, and dinners filled with good food and entertainment. The Las Vegas rolls are excellent and the portions were good and the price was always within reason. I look forward to my next visit the next time I'm in town.

Akira has been closed since March of 2020. Not sure if it will ever re-open. Just tried going last night and restaurant looked abandoned. Coconut joe's next door said they hadn't seen that restaurant open since March and they have been getting customers from there since.
