The fries were good, Bucky’s sauce was very sour like a very vinegary flavor not sure if that’s an ingredient but it’s what I got out of it and did not like it. The tenders were a bit dry.

If you've read any of my previous reviews you know I love hot chicken. I was looking for a new lunch spot a few days ago and came across Bucky's sounded like a bit of a local hidden gem so I had to go try it out. I went straight for the sandwich with a side of fries. I went for medium to test out the heat and it was very tasty. It had just enough heat to make me taste it but not overwhelm me. I could go up another level and be fine but I did really enjoy the flavor. The chicken was cooked very well, the sauce on the sandwich is tasty and the fries were nice and crispy. It takes a few minutes for an order which leads me to believe he's cooking to order and I'm all for that. Nice hot, fresh made to order food is worth the wait. It's really reasonably priced for what you get as well, I know I'll be visiting again in the future and recommend all spicy chicken loves come give it a try.

I eat spicy food all the time and their extra hot chicken sandwich was legitimately the spiciest thing I've ever had. Even if you like spicy food I'd start out with the next level down. My whole life was messed up from that sandwich but big respect for the heat, it was pretty tasty too even though I couldn't finish it.

The food is freaking amazing! I got the Buckwild Fries and they were killer! I went with the Mild but my buddy got the hot- and wow- Give them a try you won't be disappointed

This truck is easily one of the greatest hot chicken sandwich in BakersfieldFrom the well seasoned beautifully cooked chicken to the their custom fries to their delicious sauces. They honestly check every box for a hot chicken sandwich place. It’s like a hidden spot that not everyone know about.If you haven’t tried it and love chicken sandwiches then you need to drive over there like RIGHT NOW!!! ❤️??
It's good food, but they keep on screwing the online orders. The first time I there I order the mild chicken slider combo and it was good. But since then they keep on screwing my orders. Three times they messed up the order, I order a mild chicken but they give me a hot, so hot that I cant eat it. So yeah, I guess don't order online.

My favorite places to eat when I'm craving hot chicken! Their fries and cucks are also amazing. Be careful with their spice level tho... even their first level of heat (mild) has a good kick to it! Medium is pretty darn hot. But overall... good food, good customer service. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I saw that they updated their menu and I wanted to give it another try. Worst thing I could've possibly done. They went from having the Sando combo to having to buy everything separate. And they went from giving 2 sandwiches to only 1. Man highly disappointed. For 2 sandwiches and 2 fries I paid 36 bucks. And the sandwiches were super over seasoned and salty. My wife and I couldn't finish them so we tossed them and went to get some Chik fi la. I had to give them 1 start but would give 0 stars of I could.
I used really love eating at buckys, but the chicken was really salty and spicy when I had order mild. It was hard to enjoy. I would probably go back in a few months to see if fixed the issue.

Went today for the first time. Placed my order online and was told it's be ready in 20 mins! Great since I was on my lunch break! Well that was not the case. Order was to be ready at 12:18, it was not. I got my food at 1245! I was almost 30 mins late from my lunch break! It's not completely the fault of the guy in the truck as he was the only one there. Definitely need more people in there! The medium spicy was beyond hot! Nose was running after the first bite so I couldn't finish it! The fries were decent not a fan of the sweetness of them. Tried the Bucky sauce but it was so acidic and tart that you could only have a few bites of it too! Best thing was the lemonade! Even after being watered down by the melting ice it was great! Won't be going back again anytime soon. Was highly disappointed!

Buckys used to be good, like really good. Now days I'm not sure what happened, maybe it was their recent move but the food is not good. It's tasted like the oil the chicken was cooked in was old. The chicken was over cooked. The fries tasted average had the same old oil taste. We ordered 3 combos all 3 with their medium level of spiciness, I can handle my spicy pretty good but this time it was way too hot for it to be medium, like mouth burning, sweating spicy which was not enjoyable. Their new location is cramped behind another bussiness so there's no space to sit other than a couple of chairs. I hope the old buckys can come back one day.
