Good burger. The owner is rude. She literally yelled at customers for sitting in vacant seats, "I am going to sit there." Who takes their break at 11:35 on a weekday?

I went in today with my son around 10:05 and the woman wiping the counters down was very rude. I did not get greeted pleasantly at all. No hello, hi, welcome in, just a "who is handicap?!" There was no parking on the street, which I would have preferred but there was an available handicap space in the tiny parking lot on the side. I have handicap plates on my truck, obviously I can legally park there. That is discrimination! After I replied, "I am." She looked at my legs and replied rudely, "oh okay." I then told her I wasn't staying as I was there to buy the peanut butter pie. I told her I would like to purchase the pie and she said, "a WHOLE pie??" I said yes, "I would like it for my family to try." She then made a snarky remark about me to a customer sitting at the counter. I told her, "if it was a problem, I don't have to get it." She stated, "no problem here." Then she said judgmentally, "we only take cash, no CREDIT." I told her I had cash and that was no problem at all. Tried the pie and the crust was flavorless and extremely hard. The peanut butter filling was okay but thicker than I prefer. The whip cream was a thin layer and tasted like it wasn't fresh. Stick to Molly J's. Definitely better service and better quality. I honestly try to give people the benefit of the doubt, or chalk it up to 'maybe they are having a bad day' but it really doesn't sit well with me that she asked "who is handicap?!" I certainly hope she doesn't treat others that way.

The food was OK. I think it may be the owner, but I feel as of a threat, very prejudice woman. she was talking to another customer and they were saying very racial profiling very judgmental. My English is not that good and I know they were making fun of me.

I hadn't been here in over 20 years and the food is an absolute favorite...you gotta get a burger and a slice of their pie..the pie crust is perfect...a nostalgic spot that most locals visit...I can't wait to go back

I've had to have driven by this place a thousand times and never stopped to eat. It's got a cute, homey exterior and seems inviting, so we finally gave it a try. There are a few tables outside, which would be nice on a sunny day, but today was chilly and damp. When you walk in side, it cozy and a little tight. There is only counter seating. Find a place and sit down. The servers are right there. The cook is 10'feet away. Your order is taken immediately. I got the Ortega Burger and my wife got a regular burger. No fries. Jack's potatoes were on the menu, but they no longer serve them at lunch. The burgers came out in a reasonable time and were good. Nothing spectacular, but good. The atmosphere was fun. You get to interact with the server and her sister, check out all the Yoda paraphernalia, and listen to counter-talk conversations. It was good we gave it a try.

Extremely rude older lady taking orders and was too worried about having a car towed that was in front of the business to actually take my orders. Then she kicked me and other customers out who were waiting to order. Her reason was . 1 customer at a time. I do not recommend this place, and now know why they were broken into and vandalized months ago.

Ordered a burger - barely any lettuce, jacked up tomato and no sauce. They dont have fries. I asked for a coffee and wanted a water while I waited - apparently that's an unimaginable request. They don't take credit card- as the owner mentioned to me when she tossed my credit card back at me, they don't take plastic - although that was not stated anywhere. The only thing that was stated is that they don't take 100 or $50 bills. if you go, make sure you bring your own water, your own condiments, and cash, and denominations of $20 and under. Also only counter seating - no tables- counter only
