Super pricey for what you get. 2 rolls and 2 hand rolls was almost $100 after the tip. Our rolls weren't even good enough to finish. The waitress was fine but spoke super quietly. The hand rolls had fat on them like where jt connects to the skin usually so that was hard to chew through. No sushi spot ive been to has ever done that.

There is no question about it, if you want the best sushi in Bakersfield, this is the spot! I've been a regular at this establishment since 2016 and I have never been disappointed. Service ranges from excellent to nonchalant (in a good way) Walking in feels like walking into a little sushi joint in little Tokyo, the music played is rarely Japanese but they do play popular music from Korea,Japan,US (I think it depends on who's on staff that day) Also, the udon here is

Good service, fresh and comfortable atmosphere. Have eaten here on several occasions.

My God, this place is amazing. it might be pricey, but it's worth every penny. I recommend the surf and turf for something spicey as for raw fish would be the Washington roll, and my number one favorite would be the Lion King Roll that consists of baked salmon, or even the pipcorn lobster.

Hi Hushi excellent sushi at the price that is hard to beat in this town. There is only one other place that is cheaper and close to the great deals. However, Hi Sushi wins in the end. The food is just that much better. The staff is very friendly to its customers.Although not the most impressive of the sushi restaurants in Bakersfield, the atmosphere and seating arrangements are organized and clean.

We didn't get to try it because @8:25 we were told "we're closing soon, only to go" I get wanting to go home but don't advertise you close at 9 then.

This is not a "great" restaurant in the usual sense. In my mind though, it is "great" in a more important sense. They give me consistently good, comforting food in a clean, pleasant environment. This is by no means a trendy restaurant. No surprises here.It is most definitely, me & my wife's go-to place for sushi though. It has been that for years and years now. In that sense, Hi-Sushi is always a GREAT dining experience.

The food was good and staff was nice. I will likely return. Good location in northwest.

Ordered ramen and I think I would prefer the $0.99 pack at Walmart better Service is always great but I feel like the quality and taste have gone downhill.

We are typically lovers of Ahi Sushi on Calloway but decided to give this place a try. The sushi wasn't too bad, but very small portions. The table itself wasn't clean, and the experience of this restaurant was not the best. I would not recommend this place, the employees are not friendly and it's just awkward. The service is horrible. Our server was not friendly, didn't smile once or check on us besides taking our order. Our drinks never got refilled at all. We were done with our food for about 15 minutes just sitting there waiting for our check, there was one other table in there eating so there was no excuse for the horrible service. Will not be returning to this restaurant. If you want good sushi and AMAZING friendly service, try Ahi Sushi.

Good service. Friendly staff. Food is good. Can't beat their lunch or dinner combos. Their Galbi short ribs are well flavored.

The sushi is really good, my favorite rolls are the baked rolls! The service is great it's a small place so it's always fast. The mochi ice cream is delicious.

This place was just okay. Nothing about it was good or special. I've had way better sushi in town. Everything tasted the same and was mushy. On top of that, the service was not good. The servers stood around doing nothing and didn't stay on top of things. My drink was empty 2/3s of the time and we had to constantly ask for things that they should have been bringing us. Plus, they didn't explain their own special right and it ended up costing us more than it should have and when we asked to have the more expensive appetizer included instead they said it was already in the system and they couldn't do that. We hadn't paid yet so it seemed more like they wanted us to pay more for the more expensive item or just flat out didn't want to do the work to change it. I won't be going back.
