We were sitting down enjoying our delicious food and I see a cockroach crawling across the table.

Great neighborhood diner with great food and friendly staff! Probably the best chicken fried steak and omelets you'll find as well as great biscuits and gravy! Huge portions and great coffee! The place is immaculate and a comfortable place to actually sit and enjoy your meal.

Great food and great service! The best chicken fried steak I've ever had and I've had it several places! The omlettes are amazing as are the biscuits and gravy!! Portions are huge, service is great. Friendly, happy staff. A great neighborhood diner. Clean and comfortable atmosphere!

Half of the chicken fried steak breakfast with hash browns. Biscuit and gravy and subbed frit for eggs all for $16.99. My chicken fried steak had a shattering crust and the steak was perfect. Flavor to the steak and the gravy. The biscuit was light with a good flavorHas browns had a great crust needed a little salt but I can rectify that. Took food home. Looked like everyone took a to go container. They are no longer open for dinner, closes at 2.

The food tasted OK but there was more onions then there was potatoes although the waitress was nice, she did take her time filling our cups.

Horrible keep your money! They are always out of staples mid day. I can't think of a place that serves this type of food, and they run out of Cornbread and Mac & Cheese !! Needless to say I won't be back.....

I always drive by Kipsy Cafe when I’m in the area and I always wondered what it was all about. Well… let me say with a pregnant wife this was the wrong day to go explore and do a first time sit down. I don’t like talking bad about places but I can say this place isn’t something to write home about. The biscuits with sausage gravy was lacking a lot. I think there was more gravy than biscuit on the plate. There was no salt in the biscuit or the gravy and the flour taste wasn’t cooked out. I would try a different recipe if it isn’t pre-made by a supplier. The French toast combo wasn’t any better then what my gen x kid could make on a lazy day. A little butter and salt in the eggs could go a long way. The French toast again it was lacking salt in the batter…..at this point I’m starting to see a trend. The only thing I can say was good about the plate was the presentation and the syrup. My beautiful pregnant wife had the “Philly cheesesteak”. I truly believe that it should be a crime if you serve a sandwich that doesn’t even come close to the name. It’s like giving me a hot dog and in reality you really gave me a peanut and jelly sandwich. A Philly cheesesteak is art and at the same time with patience and practice you could come real close to what people love across America. My wife didn’t want to eat it. She said the fries were good but again fries should be something you shouldn’t mess up in a restaurant. The meat had a similar taste that you get when you re-heat meat in the microwave. I’m not saying that is what they did but the dryness and how the moisture get sucked out of your mouth makes this what my kid says “sus”. We did however found out where all the salt went…lol. I think that this will go in the maybe not again category for us. But… it might be good for someone that is trying to cut down on salt and has kidney problems like my grandfather.Service was great no problem there. Restaurant was clean and service was fast. I hope things do change in the kitchen and maybe have a try it before you serve it policy.Kipsy I will be back in three months. Hopefully you can make me come back here and change what I wrote.

The waitress was so sweet and attentative, and she was running the show by herself rather effectively. The food was excellent! Like other reviews I was hesitant to post reviews, I don't want it to be packed on a Sunday once people discover what a good breakfast place this is. However, we will certainly return and intend to make this one of our new go-tos! Great service and great food.

The service was horrible and the food was pretty inedible too! I paid $7 for a fruit bowl with unripe fruit and a teensy weensy amount. They put American cheese in my almost $17 omelette so that was disgusting and we refused to eat it. The tiny biscuit with gravy was terrible and the pancakes not fluffy or tasty. Despite not eating any of our food we still had to pay full price. That was our first and last time of ever eating here! It was better when it was the old business at that location. Never ever eat here.

Hidden gem. Friendly environment and good food at fair prices. No long waits either. Will definitely be visiting more.

This place was recently shut down by health inpectors. There were LIVE cockroaches in kitchen and more found hiding in walls. Check your plate carefully if you go.

A must try breakfast/lunch spot, attentive staff, overly generous portions, and food that surpasses other local favorites like Knotty pine, Lorraine's or broken yolk.
