Delicious food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. If you are able to get the special, hanger steak. Call first to check if they have the special. The Mia's salad is delicious too.
I was craving Italian food and was out of town for work. I was driving by downtown and stumbled upon Mamma Mia. It was about 5:30pm and it was starting to get crowed (highly recommend to make reservations before showing up). I walked in without a reservation and luckily was seated. The server was so friendly and informative on the menu and drinks. He recommended the dishes and they were beyond delicious. I definitely will be coming back when I'm town. I think this Italian restaurant is the best in Bakersfield for dinner. I like the bar and bartenders The food is very flavorful and the ambience its cute for the downtown area. I only wished that parking lot next door would be open for parking.
