This was my first time trying this place and it was okay. I tried the shrimp trio tacos and the flavor for each tasted pretty similar. I tried the fish taco special and it was very soft like mushy for my liking. The food was lukewarm, but the service was quick. Overall, I wasn’t the biggest fan but the flavor is all right.

Hadn't been to Rubio's in a while, so decided to try it again. I hadn't gone to Rubio's in probably five or six years and I honestly cannot remember the last time I went to one. I am so glad to see that the Rubio's menu has expanded and they offer a much broader choice of protein. I opted for the original fish taco plate with a side of beans and chips that come with the meal. I ordered my tacos without the tortilla and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food I got, and how tasty it was. I topped off my tacos and cabbage with the smoked chipotle, hot sauce. That hot sauce is not spicy at all so if you like taste, but not spice, this is your salsa. The pinto beans always get me! They remind me of the way that my mother makes them... They refried, smashed, and a little on the thick side with black pepper. I love them. The restaurant was nice and clean. The service we got from the front counter was excellent and professional. When we were seated, eating our dinner, however, we could hear the people behind the counter in the kitchen, using cuss words and complaining about things loudly and people in the dining area could hear it. While I was enjoying my meal there was miscommunication between the front counter crew and the kitchen crew about an order, and the kitchen crew was upset, and the drama spilled into the dining room since they were yelling at each other. Personally, I think that is very unprofessional and it is the reason for my three star rating. I think the issue was about the order not being clear in the ticket, and the kitchen staff made something else and rather than accepting that it was not their mistake and moving on they continue to argue with the front counter person. The front counter person was very apologetic to the customer and apologized for the mixup, which was good. Hopefully, the next time I pop in there isn't any drama! Other than that people, enjoy!

The look on the girls face when she walked my order over was telling. She didn't want to do it. I don't know why her counter service was fine and I had no complaints until she walked my food to me

I could spect more ordered 3 srimp burritos were packed with just beans and rice, just tasted about 3 small srimps in my burrito for the price I was hoping to get a good meal, good luck to other customers and hope that they improve beter.

The shrimp tacos that my family ordered were great and tasted really good. The original fish tacos that I ordered were horrible they were all batter and no fish. And you have to pay for pico here. The lady that took our order was not friendly at all her name was Eliza and she was pretty rude and seemed irritated when we asked for the avocado that we ordered and paid for.

I love Rubios, Lupe is an amazing manager and the food is always delicious here. If you’re looking for fish tacos they have the best in town. Anything you order here will be fresh, hot and flavorful. Would definitely be stopping by again, I love this place.

Went to Rubios. Ordered the fish and salmon tacos special plate. Food is always prepared and served well. The service was pleasant as the cashiers are accommodating with requests. However, the store was cluttered with food debris and the table tops were sticky. Some of the tables are not sturdy either. Store cleanliness is important and the Bakersfield NW location needs to improve significantly in this area.

One of my favorite places to eat .. the flavor on carnitas..An the best beer battered shrimp tacos around ..The staff here are always welcoming thank u Dona for being helpful an Lupe for being attentive while we waited..thank u we will see u again ..

Tacos were overcooked, and the tables were sticky. The cashier was nice and helpful, with my complicated questions. Honestly, we've had a better experience in the past. A gentleman who might have been an owner or a gm was having a very animated and loud conversation on his ear piece outside and then came in a jiggled the napkins and went to the kitchen in a hurry. We will go back but just a little bummed this time. ?
