So many memories. Smile cookies, champagne cake with pink curls. Smiths always tries me back to childhood birthday parties and after school treats. The staff are helpful and kind. Parking is easy. Every time I swing through Bakersfield it's a must stop.

Smith's is an old school bakery. They have some classic sugar cookies- pick a smiley face or a happy sun. They also have a beehive pastry that's perfect for breakfast for the whole family. Get there early because they sell out quick!
Stopped in last minute hoping to find a bday cake, they didn't have anything that was reasonably affordable. I don't mind paying but $25 for a chocolate cake the size of a large brownie. (I've ordered them before and they're good but no way not that good), So I ordered 4 donuts. I know they're good it's Smith's. My issue is this location make me feels ba-hum bug!! It seems the lady was annoyed with my presence and questions. Very unenthusiastic about anything! Also seems to be just a preorder and pick up location not much product in the cases.

Best cookie experience! We unknowingly planned a bridal shower on Easter weekend. We went in Saturday to pick up the cookies and she very kindly told us that on holidays the deliveries are often a little later than normal (makes sense). We let her know we needed them to set up for a bridal shower. She immediately got on the phone to find out where the delivery driver was to give us an ETA. Honestly, this was something she had zero control over yet she had two phones calling/on hold with different locations trying to be helpful. So nice! She had the most amazing attitude, which is hard to find The other sweet gal helped everyone who came in while she was on the phone. They really worked together! We were super appreciative! The delivery came while we were waiting. It was perfect. Everyone was so helpful! Thank you

1 Dozen Donuts 22.17 Came with a free human hair stuck in the chocolate frosting of a maple bar. After the employee handles most of the donuts I bought, she replaces the one with the embedded hair. No offer to pay me back or any extra for my troubles. No one cared if I was disgusted and loat my appetite .... !!!
