“This morning, my team at Jim Burke Ford in the Bakersfield automall was surprised by Hope and the catering team from our local Cracker Barrel. Hope brought the team an amazing pancake breakfast. Nothing spreads joy better than a hot stack of fluffy, buttery pancakes on a cool morning.Thank you, Hope, and the team at Cracker Barrel for supporting and taking care of local businesses and the community.“

“This was my first time eating here. Walking in the place seemed familiar mainly because I’ve been eating at this building since it was Bob Big Burger way back in the day. The decor was decent and the employees were friendly and informative. We were quickly seated and our waitress came to our table within a minute or two. We ordered the Marie Gras Beignets while we looked through the rest of the menu for our entrees.By the time the Beignets and drinks came we were ready to order. The staff check in a few times. When the food came it looked good. I had ordered the California Eggs Benedict, my sister got a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, and my niece the got the chicken tenders with season fries. At first I thought that the balsamic reduction they drizzled over the top of my Benedict was overpowering. But once I broke the yolks of the poached eggs everything became much more well balanced. The potatoes (reds) that I got with my eggs were nicely cooked and well seasoned. My niece’s chicken tenders were slightly darker than a golden brown, but the overall taste was on point. The season fries were also good. My sister complained that the sweet potato fries were oily. But I didn’t try her food so that is hearsay. But she raved about the chicken sandwich she ordered and the spicy ranch she was dipping her fries in.Oh! The Beignets were delicious with the custard and sauces that it was served with. We had showed up around 2pm and it was almost closing time when we finished our meals. We sat there for maybe 10 minutes waiting for our checks or someone to come check in on us. Finally as my sister stood up to go find someone our server saw her and said “oh!” As though she remembered we were there. I don’t hold this against them as it was the end of the day for the staff.Overall I was happy with my visit and food. I would eat here again.“
