So I decided to try the birria tacos and......they were ridiculous!!! They could not make them more delicious if they tried. They were loaded with super tender meat and the consume was so good I drank it as a soup at the end. Most birria seems to have a heavy hand with chili powder flavor (that I'm not a huge fan of) and meat and consume was perfectly seasoned and complex rich beef stock flavor with only a hint of chili powder flavor. Once I moved to the SW, I began to crave the super authentic taco trucks that make their own corn tortillas that you find on the east side. Well, this is it. It's got it all: reliably good food, handmade tortillas, open late hours, etc. I've had their asada, pastor, and cabeza, all are really good. Their red salsa is really spicy, perfect for asada. This is my go to taco spot in the area! The do mainly speak Spanish so you can practice your español, but you can also speak English too. They make everything to order so it does take some time. Sometimes it does take a little too long or at least it feels like it when it's winter or summer.
