This is a place I would've loved to love. Their kambing kaldereta is decently good. Their beef steak was okay. Their lechon kawali had absolutely no seasoning at all, it would seem. But I still would like to try the other entrees they have to offer. The place did not look well maintained. The water cooler was broken, but the employee was nice enough to give me bottled water instead. Plastic spoons and forks were obtained through a utensils dispenser. Condiments were not easily accessible because they were all in a cabinet, and some of the containers/bottles didn't look clean. But I think the biggest problem is that it is not clear to me what kinds of dishes they serve. They have a counter with trays of food, and the entrees seem to change the times I go there. I checked them out again at yelp.com, and they had crispy pata!? I would never have known based on what I could see inside because there was nothing to tell me they serve it. If they have a menu, I guess I'd have to ask for it.But they serve decent Filipino food, and I would still go back and try the other entrees they have. I would not give up on this place yet.

Needed last minute appetizer idea to take to pool party. Was craving lumpia so decided to give Johnny's a try. Couldn't pass up the yelp review, it was so close to my home about a mile, so super convenient. Thank goodness I found this hidden gem, going back for all my lumpia needs!

Goat everything?! YES PLEASE!!! Recently found this place and decided to try their PAPAITAN and KALDERETA! I am not disappointed at all. We loved it. Food was great. Service was great. The gentleman that served me was kind and helpful. Will definitely be coming back for more ASAP!

Very expensive to eat here because you can't buy a combination everything is a lacarte at least you spend $10 dollars for one single item with rice and bottle of water they don't even have water dispenser if you dine in. I have order pinapaitanand kaldereta to try out and it cost $19.98 in very small servingParking: Not enough for parking very difficult to find one

This is the small mom & pops resto you really really want to like. The owner is super nice, even suggests items if you are not familiar with filipino food. Ive been to Manila several times for business but had never tried these type of dishes except for Lechon Kawali. Lets talk about the food. They have a catering type of set up, all the dishes are pre-cooked. No idea for how long its been sitting there staying warm. Even the rice tastes old. The best item from my sampler was the goat, was yummy, had flavor but again tastes very dry and old. Same went for all the items. I see they have great reviews from fellow Filipinos, but lets be honest and separate fresh & yummy, from scarce and nostalgic. 2 different things. Place is small, not welcoming, dim not inviting to sit down and enjoy your meal. I would love to give it another try, maybe try something early in the morning before it sits there all day. This place needs to separate the catering form the Order take out. Not a good model.

Food was pricey and old. Ambience was poor. Won't go back to this place. Service was so so , manned by 1 person.

This is the best filipino resturant I've had the pleasure to visit. The staff was super kind, both the owner and cook came out to talk to me about the food and the Philippines. They recommended dishes and all of them were delicious especially the Dinugang. Thanks!

Placed an order for 100 lumpia the day before. Confirmed time for pickup multiple times. Came in today and they had no idea who I am. The owner even asked who I placed the order with - for the record, it was him. Then instead of apologizing for the oversight, he giggled - GIGGLED - and sheepishly said he forgot. This, a grown man who supposedly runs a business.
