Stopped by this place to grab some dinner, and their "wet style" super burrito sounded like just the thing. Me and my girlfriend both got one with different meat options to split. The service was not particularly friendly, but that may not be the case if you happen to speak fluent Spanish. So, your mileage may vary there. That said, we were absolutely not prepared for how super the "super burrito" actually was haha. You can see in the pictures I took, the burritos were enormous. They were really good, though! Just prepare yourself for one of the largest burritos you've ever seen in your life if you order the super burrito.

The burrito I ordered was delicious, huge and good value. The salsa bar had a nice variety of items including radish. I only wish that they made homemade corn chips. You place your order at the counter and they bring your items to your table. The ambience is casual, lots of sport on big TV's. Parking is limited.

Hands done one of my favorite taquerias. Their taco salad is my go too. Great food and service. My friend swears by their burrito. He's told me it's one of the best and he has high standards coming from SF.

Went here for lunch with some coworkers and got a super carne asada burrito. The food came out pretty quick after ordering. The burrito was huge and packed with a lot of food. The flavor was good as well. They offer complimentary chips and have an extensive salsa bar. Love that they have grilled Serranos and other sides. Their salsas are great with the chips and the burrito. There's a good amount of seats in the restaurant for dine in but parking can be tough. Parking is limited and the spots are usually taken.

Oh El Metate!!! The best Mexican taqueria in the peninsula. Look no further this place is a the closest thing to being in Mexico. The decor is awesome, it is clean and the service is above expectations. There are no better chorizo tacos anywhere, I promised! They have a good variety of meats and all of them are well prepared and always hot. The pinto beans and cheese burrito is my ten year old son's favorite! It is tasty and fresh. We try another taquerias around the neighborhood and they aren't bad, but el Metate is way above the rest.
The Salsa bar is back and I just returned to this favorite place last week! Perfecto!

Loved this gem. Tacos were full of juicy cooked meat. Nicely seasoned. Quesadilla was filled with plump and perfectly cooked shrimps. Well stocked salsa bar. Family place. And Affordable.

I would not give any star to this restaurant for they treat customers with contempt and provided poor customer service. Also, both cooks who prepare the food did not wear protective hair cover. I ordered the lunch food to go (2 orders) and paid, but noticed all other customers who stood behind me in the line were served food first after about 10-15 min wait. Then I asked the cashier when my food would be ready, she said they were very busy and would get to it later, without looking at me. After another 7-8 minutes additional wait, I asked again and they kept the same statement as before without any eye contact. Given such poor customer service and contempt, I asked for the refund. I'd NOT recommend this place to anyone.
