Iberia is a Spanish island on the San Mateo Peninsula. The interior is quite charming. The layout -two rooms- allows some to gather in the bar/lounge, and others to enjoy the dining room. In the dining room, couples can share intimate booths, and larger groups have tables. In the bar, there are two tables for large groups and a few tables for smaller crowds. OH, and the food!! We just returned from Madrid and found nothing there to outshine Iberia's tapas. The tapas range through vegetables, mushrooms and meats and use fine oil and other enhancers, such as impossibly finely diced shallots. The service might be a tad slow on a busy evening, but you're in Spain! Get a glass of vino (or sangria) and sit back to enjoy each other's company. I strongly encourage you to check this small gem out! TDMParking: Try the Caltrain lot across El Camino

Randomly found this spot last year but was quite difficult to walk in without reservation so reservations are highly recommended...but why you ask? Well put simply great paella ? made as close to homemade as I have seen in Bay area...they are in the pricey side but we'll put together and most importantly very tasty and crispy enough. Tried the Iberian paella which is their most popular and I can see why..balanced with chicken and pork but also seafood. There is one salad option which is good along with many traditional tapas and good selecion of wines and Spanish beers. Inside feels like a club house with rich materials and warm lighting and full back wall bar. There is bar seating which is nice for walk ins but with limited seating. Parking is ample on street and is free. Service is limited and thin when place is full and so don't go if you are in a time pinch...but rather a night out...place is on small side inside so large groups should call ahead for accommodations. Whether legal or not Service charges are automatically added to tab at about 20% so be prepared in case you are not accustomed yo this charge. Overall good place to try for food and ambiance in Belmont.Parking: Plenty for size of this restaurantKid-friendliness: Not recommended for kids...perhaps older as it will test their patience

LOVE. This place!!!Full bar with nice scotch selection, sangria is strong, Food tasty. While they offer large dishes to be shared (including paella), their tapas selections should not be overlooked. Multiple styles of octopus, grilled mushrooms and meats that are delicious.Tip included in bill.

Iberia is one of the dining gems of Belmont. Fantastic Spanish tapas. Explore the menu and get a bunch of things to share! The desserts don't live up to the savory dishes, however. Order one more dish and skip the sweets, I'd suggest.

Remake of a Menlo Park classic. Original location apparently a victim of land prices. Less charming and and lacking the deli and garden seating, it has retained it's menu, quality food and good service. The astounding Scotch whisky selection in the pub is likewise available.Jose-Luis has done a remarkable job of reinventing Iberia. The takeaway menu is convenient and tasty. His holiday specials are really great. We alternate Thanksgiving and Christmas every year.

Food was good but very pricey. Service was ok but mostly just going through the motions. Tip was automatically added (20%) which doesn't encourage better service.

We enjoyed the authentic tapas. Eggplants, cod, and the bomba were all great!

The paella was really good. Other tapas was also good. Automatic addition of 20% tips is a bit too much in my opinion.

We have ordered 6 tapas. One of the (squid) was very good, veal and pork shoulder were ok but not interesting, octopus was like a rubber and scallops were not edible. Vine was good. The lady that served the food was very nice.

Really nice tapas place with a great atmosphere. It's probably the best Spanish food I had in the bay area (teleferic Barcelona tastes good too but the vibe isn't as cozy)Will come back.

We've been coming to Iberia for years and have always enjoyed their delicious food! Great place to go with friends and family. We love the scallop dish, also the eggplant one and the king oyster mushroom tapas. My husband and I have also sat at the bar for a few tapas and drinks which was very enjoyable too. A place we also look forward to returning to.
