I ordered the “Deluxe Chirashi Bowl” on DoorDash and was satisfied with the meal. Some points:1. Overall, the cuts of fish are very high quality. I applaud them for this. Chu-toro was cut generously.2. The sauces are too overpowering. It felt way too salty with how much ponzu was drizzled. Traditionally, chirashi/kaisen don bowls should highlight the fish. I felt like I was tasting too much sauce for my liking. The rice was not enough to “balance out” the saltiness. Then, there was also this sour-sweet relish that, by itself, could be good. But they drizzled so much of it I couldn’t taste the fish/rice anymore. Overall, too much sauce.3. I appreciated how they added their “signature touch” to the chirashi bowl with puréed yam. It balanced the salmon.4. Presentation is very good. I liked how they scored the salmon. Good touch.5. For a deluxe chirashi bowl, I was let down with only a single piece of uni and a single piece of amaebi. Usually, uni should come in two pieces? Somewhat understandable, since Santa Barbara uni is expensive these days (I’m pretty sure it’s Santa Barbara uni).6. Rice is okay—nothing special unfortunately. I admit I have pretty high standard with my sushi rice though.

My favorite place to have Toro fish! Not sure if it's the best in the Bay, gotta try in other places still to find out and compare but for sure they always have amazing service and spectacular quality!!There was absolutely no bad weather or bad time, even if there is a big line... You should wait for your turn there! Cheesecake is small, but is so delicious and is Matcha flavor.Help this small business, food is good and the fish is fresh!!

Delicious. Great customer service. The Delux Chirashi Bowl was filled with all of the best flavors. I wanted to try here for a while, but it was always a long wait. I was lucky, and it wasn't packed today (Sunday dinner)

I love the sushi here so I ended up coming here with 4 different groups of friends or family in the last 6 months! They all enjoyed the food here! We've tried many of the vegetarian rolls and they've all been pretty good! I went here again with a group of 4 on Friday evening. Signed up on the waitlist on yelp and got a table in 20 min (7 pm). Tried 3 different rolls this time and a couple of things we've ordered before.Veggie bomb - This is a deep fried roll so I wasn't sure about this one but it was great!Big lotus roll - This was great too! The lotus root chips add a perfect crunchy element!Mango secret roll - This was one was very different with a thick layer of mango and special salsa on top. Not my favorite but I can see why some people would like it.Veggie tacos - This was great as always. I don't like the seaweed so I always take it off my taco.Veggie Phoenix roll - This one was good too.

I'm so upset I spent $106 for food as I was so hungry craving Japanese food and I found a HAIR and not the one from on top your head! I will be calling for a refund because I totally lost my appetite!!!!Sissy from the establishment called me and apologized and that she will be issuing a full refund. I told her I hope this doesn't happen again and once the refund hits my account, I will update the review. In the meantime, I'm still very traumatized and went without eating any of the food I got from them last night.

Not really sure what happened. We got on the waitlist before we came and stood in the restaurant for a long time. No one even acknowledged us at all. Had it leave bc it was getting awkwardUpdate*****Thanks for the quick response. Upped the stars since it sounded like a miscommunication. We did see we were on the waitlist and there were some people ahead of us but we didn't see anyone waiting in the restaurant so wasn't sure what to do. We'll try again next time.

I chose this spot for a team lunch with my coworkers since the yelp photos of the food looked really pretty and we were able to book a reservation online. It wasn't busy inside when we arrived around noon on Friday and it was easy to find parking since it's located in a plaza.food:double toro roll - this roll was amazing!! the fattiness of the fish was well balanced by other ingredients in the roll. salmon and toro are my favorite fish and this roll did not disappoint. 49ers roll - really good, although i ended up removing the lemon from the top because i found it to be a little overpowering spicy tuna crunch - looked good but unfortunately I couldn't eat it because it looked like there were sesame seeds inside (and I am allergic). the server said there shouldn't be any sesame seeds but also couldn't tell me what the black seeds inside the roll were. they kindly took the roll off our bill so we didn't have to pay for it since i couldn't eat itoverall i would definitely come back. seems like a nice spot to celebrate a special occasion

Pretty good food! The service was excellent. We sat at the bar, and the chefs were so nice. The fish was super fresh and tasty. The tuna and salmon toro were both amazing. The seared salmon toro had a smoked herb as a nice touch. Slightly pricier but the quality was great. This place also gives you the option to sub in real crab meat in place of imitation crab in any dish. Loved it!
