Best place to hang out with a bottle - fun locals (we included), and Jerry is a hoot.

2024 Tiburon Day Trip to edit our screenplay and we found this little gem. Gregarious owner and incredible selection of wine and champagne. Best way to kick off the new year or every weekend this year!

Average (small) selection, high prices. Owner has attitude. You'd do better at Mollie Stone's.

The owner was so nice and he helped me find a wine that I'd really like! They had an amazing wine selection as well, definitely want to come back here next time I'm in Tiburon :)

This is a great little shop. Wonderful selection, and the gentleman helping us was so fun. Dry humor that had me laughing so hard. Can't wait to come back to this amazing spot.

Great wine, peaceful setting, knowledgeable owner. What more could you ask for? Stumbled across the store on my visit to Tiburon after walking off lunch from the Caviar Co and quickly became a highlight of my SF trip. You could easily spend a few hour sitting inside or on the front patio. Beautiful ambiance and it was refreshing to be given wine recommendations as opposed to guessing off a menu. Owner was kind and hospitable. If you're looking for a no fuss, relaxing spot with great wine, this is a must.

As an overseas visitor who has had nothing but overwhelmingly friendly service in San Fran, I was disgusted at the rude, and dismissive behaviour I was greeted with today. We walked through incredibly wet weather with the sole purpose of visiting this shop and purchasing wine to take back to Australia. We were looking forward to a nice glass in house and a relaxing hour. Instead, we were greeted with, “ We don’t communicate, we just pour wine and sell bottles.” Unbelievable! We thought you would have knowledge to impart and a desire to ‘show off’ your range. How wrong we were. It would have been a wasted ferry trip had we not discovered Sam’s cafe, where our reception could not have been warmer. You might rate yourselves as somewhere that sells good priced wines, but certainly not anyone that knows the value of good customer service. Politeness is free.Having just seen your reply and the sorry/not sorry part, that really proves my point. You could have said that you were sorry we were given that impression, and that had not been your intent…would we like to return and you would gladly help us select some wines. Instead, you continue with your less than congenial attitude. Such a shame when our intent had been to put business your way and enjoy some conversation about, what we had hoped, was a mutual love of wines.

I visited this shop today after a very nice ladies lunch with the intention of buying a few bottles of wine, but left after extremely rude comments from the owner. He told us children were not allowed which is understandable but instead of being kind, he said "you can go down to the grocery store where kids are allowed" in a very condescending and rude manner. There was also no sign outside indicating no kids are allowed. I was with a group of moms so some of us could have easily waited outside with the children while one of us shopped as we did with the spice shop next door. However, his rudeness made us leave immediately. Parents with children, don't bother stopping in here. He made it very clear we are not welcomed.

My family had the good fortune of visiting Jerry Horn (aka Dr. Champagne) at his Tiburon Wine establishment. We enjoyed a most relaxing afternoon in an remarkably serene environment, had some wonderful wines at most reasonable price points, and enjoyed Jerry's company thoroughly. He was both warm and welcoming...and his knowledge of the wine and champagne was clearly "Best in Class". We all would enthusiastically recommend a visit to Tiburon Wine. Don't walk, run to visit Dr. Champagne. He Rocks!!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. SO RUDE!!!! Walked in, no greeting at all. The guy just sat in his back office and glanced at us and did not even move. THEN SOMEONE ELSE CAME IN, AND THE WORKER/OWNER ADDRESSES THAT PERSON!!!!! Not sure if it was just a worker or owner).... but he literally walks past us to greet the person behind us as if that person was 100x more important than us. It was so incredibly rude!!! He greeted that person soo excited and basically ignored us. Not sure how they are still in business with that type of service. I would never recommend anyone to come here.... EVER!

Was looking forward to going in and enjoying some nice wine and atmosphere. As soon as we walked in a guy was putting wine on another table and abruptly stopped us to basically say where he was going and to get out of the way- really weird since we were walking towards the counter. Asked the two guys behind the counter if they offered non alcoholic or water. It was for my friend who doesn’t drink while I enjoyed some wine- and they were not friendly or inviting at all. And who doesn’t offer water- it’s very basic thing- even in a wine tasting place. The final thing that made us decide to leave without purchasing was when another unsatisfied customer came in with a small young child and instead of diffusing the situation continued to argue in front of everyone. We went somewhere else and enjoyed wine, cheese and sparkling water. In regards to your response down below… thank you for taking the time to explain your poor service. It seems like appropriate signage would alleviate all the people you have to “sternly” address with their kids. There was only one person helping with the “large” order while the other two were doing nothing and could have easily and politely answered questions. And if you have to rudely tell people you are bringing your expensive real estate wine to place on your tables across the way- then there is probably a better system that you can implement. I came in not knowing if I could order by the glass, bottle, or taste- as the reviews also state that people tasted the wines…so I was open for anything-including buying by the bottle. But good thing you didn’t need my money, you had your large order to focus on.You are very welcome that I took time to let you know.
