Dined at Sailor Jack's last night. The service and ambiance were very good, as was the beet and wedged salads. We found the clam chowder to be a little on the salty side as well as perhaps too much bacon fat, which is unusual. It has always been so incredibly delicious in the past. We enjoyed the overall experience and will definitely be going back.

Female, Bar, Hispanic, 40's server was not pleasant. Took our orders, my friend later asked for more bread, and server walked away while friend was talking to her. Female server had no smiles, and only asked if we need anything once. Usually service is good in your restaurant. My friends and I are disappointed.

Came here for the first time today. Me & my fiancé ordered fish & chips and Crab cakes. Food was good and tasted fresh and the fish and chips were very good. We had a great waitress as well which made the experience welcoming. Would eat here again.

Lunch was lovely on the outdoor deck with views of the Sacramento River, Carquinez Strait Bridge & passing boats & waterfowl. Food decent= clam chowder as thick as porridge ( a bit too salty, a bit too much starch ) & large salad of mixed greens under 2 generous crab cakes ( which benefitted from a squeeze of lemon ). Glass walls helped cut the breeze off the water, but the food cooled quickly. A great place on a warm day... can work off any calories after your meal walking along the waterfront or browsing First St in cute Benicia

I'd have gone more stars (1), because the food is great, but when you see their sites $$s rating, TWO $$, no way, IMO. It should be more like $$$ or $$$$. I'd love to try their gumbo, but $38 just for lunch, the same exact cost as their dinner menu. IMO, their luncheon menu whould maybe serve smaller, LESS costly amounts. A couple should not have to spent near $100 for lunch, including a tip. So I guess that we'll never try their luncheon menu. We did go there, my Wife treated by our Son & DLL for my Wife's birthday and I would have hated to see the tab, but of course that was dinner for five.

We like this restaurant. Great view and classic but romantic place. My husband asked the server’ favorite and ordered salmon pasta. If you like salmon, it is good. My order was fish and chips and it was good! But I did not like coleslaw, sorry! Anyway I will try other meal next time. We will be back.

Found this hidden gem and it's what I've been looking for in a breakfast place, and my wife loved the seafood! The clam chowder was amazing, oysters, champagne, friendly staff, warm biscuits, and a breathtaking view of the bay upstairs! I'll be back soon

Had a lovely friends/moving away dinner with my hubby's oldest friends last night!!! A fabulous dinner as the company is what made our time aces. The restaurant was hopping with great service by our lovely waitstaff's and excellent food. We ate the clam chowder which was delicious. I ate the surf and turf the others had the petrale soul. Very filling dinner!! The drinks flowed and all was at peace in the world! Thanks for a great evening!!! Sailor's Jack rocks!

My server was very nice. I did not catch his name however, he came to me as soon as I arrived at my table. He was friendly and welcoming. My server is definitely somebody who enjoys his job.
Came with my gal friends to catch up. The food was good, fresh just not delicious I usually order fish tacos at most restaurants so I have experience many different ways. I was thinking how they could have made mine more flavorful Maybe the coleslaw in the taco could be marinated or seasoned more? Always good place to meet friends

There were numerous food choices. I had the clam chowder and crab cakes and they were delicious. Our Server Eva was very attentive to make sure our order was presented well. Also, she was a great conversationalist. We had a reserved table with a great view of the Bay.

Took my brother and his wife there for lunch. Crab melt was very good. Clam chowder soup delicious. Fish & chips real good. Sat upstairs with a view of the Vallejo Bridge. Friendly, clean and we love Benicia ? by the bay.
