I think this is the best banh mi place in Berkeley in my opinion. It has the airy and crunchy baguette with appropriate amount of fill of protein and vegetables. I'm surprised they add some spicy jalapeño slices! Perfect for my taste and brings me some nostalgia but it isn't for everyone. I don't make any adjustments to banh mi orders except maybe add an fried egg once a while. At less than $10 a sandwich it's a good size and overall tasty. Dry. Dry. Dry. I have no idea what I just ate. I love banh mi. I even used a popular banh mi spot to cater my 50th. This place is not it. I stopped in while my daughter and her friends were at the fro-yo down the block. I ordered the pork banh mi. What I got was a dry, sauce free sandwich with mystery tiny cold granules of pork? Tofu? Paper? Who knows? Flavorless, inedible and sad. I tossed after eating half. Three stars bc the boba Thai iced tea was delish. Never again
