Daruma had a pop up shop by my house in Albany and wow it was great! They offered a variety of onigiri that made me feel like I was back in Japan. I will say that my friend and I went to the pop up an hour after it opened and a lot of the onigiri were sold out. Luckily I was able to snag 4 of them beforehand. Standout items were Takoyaki and the matcha soba salad. Takoyaki had nice big chewy piece of taco Bonito flakes and kewpie mayo were delicious toppings. Matcha soba salad was refreshing on a sunny day. Also had the beef curry onigiri and salted egg onigiri to-go. Catch them during a pop-up if you can!

OMG I'M STUFFED! All of these dishes were so yummy. My fav was the potato croquettes with the curry sauce. Prices were VERY REASONABLE for four pieces per dish; just right to share. DEFINITELY I will go back. They cook to order and give you a buzzer when your dish is ready to pick up and bring to your table. We sat outside in the covered patio which was clean and tables spaced nicely. There are tables outside with no cover as well as booths inside.
