Affordable and yummy! I love their spam musubis and pre-packaged sashimi platters. I definitely think it's a college student's dream once you see how affordable the meals are here. One thing though: I think parking around the area gets a bit hectic since it is a busy street. Just take the bus if able to! But, I say it's worth it!

A cute storefront with easy options for pickup, takeout, and dining in. I had two rolls and a plate of curry. The portions and prices were appropriate and delicious! Self serve water and hot tea are available and such a great plus. The staff is great and amiable. I'm almost always in Elmwood so stopping by here will be a part of my rotation.

This is what a $12.95 Chicken Katsu Curry Rice looks like when to go. The service is good when I ordered on the phone and it takes about 10 minutes before I headed over there to collect my order. I compared to other Katsu restaurants that serve chicken Katsu of their own. This Katsu is small except the curry sauce that is just right for the Katsu to be covered up. The way how it's packaged is a little loose and that's what it'll look like when to go. Otherwise, the chicken needs to be crispier. And more batter on it. And the curry needs to have more flavor. Otherwise it tastes good and the cooking is good also.

I have been going here for years! It was especially reasonable for college students -- over 20 years ago for me. The food is consistently good. The sushi is fresh, and the ramen is tasty. Prices have gone up, but they are still are one of the cheaper places in town to get good Japanese food.
Great prices and decent sushi. You order up front, get your self serve tea and grab a seat. It's a nice but no nonsense atmosphere which is a quality I appreciate and is harder and harder to find in the area. I had the dragon roll, hamachi and scallops. Everything was great. Bookmarking this joint so I remember to come back when I'm in the area again.

The sushi/nigiri is not worth the price, there’s barely any sushi in the combos. Since sashimi is usually more expensive anyway, in my opinion just go to higher-end place.The bentos are pretty decent for the price, can see them as everyday grab and go meals.

I’ll give them four stars on the food because of the value proposition… The fish is always fresh, and the portions are more than reasonable for the price point. They have a ready to go refrigerated case that they stock for the lunch hour. You can get a sushi combo With tax and tip at the door for about $16. It will easily kill you up.Sometimes, in the evening, it can be a little backed up for to go orders. In the past sometimes they get the orders mixed up, so be sure to check your bag before you leave. They are fairly popular with locals and the college crowd.They tend to be my go to because they are close to my house, convenient, and prepare your order quickly .
