My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! Impeccable dishes with rich flavor and high quality ingredients, amazing cocktails, fantastic service, and a lovely interior with a couple of outdoor tables for sunny days. My favorites are the green enchiladas, chicken mole, and plantains - but everything we’ve had here has been incredible. I’m always shocked by how uncrowded this place is - people are seriously missing out!

Love this place. Excellent spicy red House salsa excellent green salsa. They have good vegan options. The whole pinto beans are vegan. And the refried black beans are vegan. The regular pinto refried beans are not Vegan. They have vegan rice. Also made without chicken broth. I love that they have a tofu option, which is deep fried tofu. And they also have a veggies option. The corn tortillas are really good here, loved the taco. They have a separate breakfast lunch and dinner menu. I hope to try the Chilaquiles next time. They also have enchiladas. Really love this place. Great ambience. Very nice inside. I’m in love with both of their salsas. The refried black beans remind me of Oaxacan style beans! Also, the mole is not Vegan or gluten-free, FYI. Highly recommend checking out this place.

Never been to this place, so we decided to try it out. First of all the restaurant is absolutely beautiful on the inside. The service was excellent. We were hoping the food would be great, and it was. I honestly would drive an hour from where we live again to come here.

Great food, great service! My family and I absolutely love coming to this restaurant. The owners and workers are very kind, considerate and the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. If you like fish tacos I recommend ordering!

Stopped in for a taco snack this afternoon. Got two legit chicken mole tacos with some house hot sauce. Honestly I haven't had tacos this tasty since San Diego. I'm going to have to make my way back to sample more of the menu. The hot sauce did not disappoint.

Amazing restaurant. Instantly became our go to Mexican restaurant in Berkeley. Food is delicious. Meats all flavored perfectly and tender. Reasonably priced. Taco Monday and Tuesday all day $3.50.Kid-friendliness: Stroller friendly. Have high chairs.

WOW delicious food!! My only suggestion would be to increase the food prices by $2-3 and reduce the margarita prices by $3. The margaritas are the bomb and more people need to be able to drink them. Loved the tacos and appreciate the veggie option. Beautiful decor, too. There was a bit of a strong cleaner scent, which would make someone with environmental allergies react, but I think it was because they were closing. Beautiful restaurant with delicious food! Can't wait to see where this goes. Probably the best Mexican meal I've had in Berkeley!

What a great new find this place is! We're always on the hunt for delicious Mexican food but often disappointed. Not the case at Mercado 925 by a long shot. What a delicious surprise! Amazing Margaritas with a smoky, citrus salted rim, fresh lime juice and agave. Hot, crispy chips with three zesty salsas. Between two of us, we enjoyed four different tacos, and each was delicious. Clean, cool atmosphere and excellent service. We'll be back!
Excellent menu, service, ambience, cleanliness, and attention to the elements of restaurant design. I highly recommend the reasonably priced Mercado 925. Metered parking right alongside badly maintained roads doesn't say much good about the City of Berkeley.

COME EAT HERE. We've been longtime lovers of another great Mexican place in town that I won't name because I feel too ashamed to admit that...I think I now like Mercado 925 better. But every time I go, the crowd is way too thin for how great this place is. So, Berkeley, show this place some LOVE. And get the Al pastor, fish and/or mole tacos. Or just get every taco they make. Or anything else on the menu, you can't go wrong. Oh, and it's a great place for to bring the kiddos

After much research into the best upscale Mexican food in the area, we tried Mercado 925. We are so glad we chose this restaurant! The food, ambience and service were all amazing. The nachos were a big hit and the guacamole so fresh and awesome...highly recommend!

This place is a magical, superb restaurant. Excellent for a special date or dinner and also great for dinner out any night. My husband had the carnitas tacos and they were out of this world. (Really good!). I had the enchiladas verdes (chicken) and they were super also. I never imagined how refried beans and rice could be so good either. They have a special way of preparing everything. The tortillas are handmade here and we're all corn, which is great for me as I try to avoid gluten. The Mexican hot chocolate was terrific. Overall we consider this a real find. We will be bringing our out of town guests here, I'm sure. Oh yes. The tequila bar appears very well stocked with lots of choices too.
