The freshest food, amazing salads and their chocolate chip cookies are the best. Yum!

Tasty treats include chicken and sides like your mother's home cooking. Healthy salads and soups made from scratch. Yum.

Pick up a roasted chicken for dinner and fill your freezer with their great frozen soups and stews - including good vegetarian options.

The food was delicious. Chicken w a side of kale. A big jug of formula 409 and a cleaning crew would have plenty to do there, however, which makes me skeptical about kitchen cleaning.

I've been wanting to try Poulet for awhile, but sadly they're closed on the weekends. I popped in for lunch on a Friday and decided to get the lemon, garlic, and rosemary chicken with a potato gorda on the side. Tip: It seems like a lot of the sides on their online menu aren't displayed in the restaurant, but I asked for a potato gorda and they had some in the back kitchen. The chicken breast and wing were very tender and juicy, but I wish the seasoning was a little bit stronger. Next time, I think I will try the boneless chicken breast and their adobo marinade. Despite their name, my favorite at Poulet is currently the potato gorda! No chicken in here, but it was stuffed with an amazing medley of potato, corn, and peppers and served crispy and piping hot. Overall, the food at Poulet tasted like a home-cooked meal. They even have frozen items that you can take and enjoy at home. I'll definitely be back to try their other sides, salads, and sandwiches!

In general this is a reliable neighborhood shop with a good offering of broth soup different types of chicken and cookies. I like supporting them because I live nearby. However they should step up their game in the kitchen. The chicken is often overcooked and dry. Today I got the curried chicken salad and was expecting succulent pieces of breast with a delicious curry powder and mayonnaise flavor. What I got is a container half full of rice very little chicken and no discernible curry taste. Please stick to the classics and don’t put rice in the chicken salad! Curry chicken salad should just be chicken, almonds, grapes, curry powder celery etc. this race feels like a cheap way of filling up the container and cheating us out of the chicken.

Sooooo why does this place not have 5 stars? Lol. I'm so confused. It's been a recent hit every time coming in. I value this place for: - Great customer service - Great selection of hot and cold deli food - Bonus: great selection of frozen food that you can take and keep in your fridge for those busy days All delicious and wholesome, good quality food. And obviously, they know how to cook chicken. :)

One of my favorite places in Berkeley. So so good! My faves: - potato croquets: crispy, delicious, a hint of peppers, just the right amount of cheese so so good. - potato salad: just a great solid potato salad, can't go wrong - veggies: they have raw kale salad and broccoli kale salad. both are really good! - lemon garlic chicken thighs : so good, juicy, and flavorful - adobo chicken thighs are my absolute favorite, they are so flavorful, Juicy and nothing like it - chicken salad is yummy, fresh - carrot cake.... I could eat this carrot cake everyday. It's absolute delicious. The best carrot cake I've ever had.

Best kept secret dining secret in Berkeley: Poulet has the hands down the best Kale Salad and Lemon Rosemary Garlic chicken in the San Francisco Bay Area. The staff is friendly and kind. Really like the community space. The owner said what I was eating was built on [decades of epicurean] experience in Berkeley at this location. My friend from Marin said it was the best carrot cake she's ever had.

Wonderful place not only for delicious take-out, but for full-service catering, including food, rentals, and service. They recently catered a dinner for 40 for me, and the food, service, and communication were all excellent, with very reasonable prices. Jesse was a pleasure to deal with.

Yummy polenta and veggies. Their chocolate mousse and carrot cake are very good too.

Poulet is a rare, warm, consistent and totally delicious café in Berkeley with amazing menu choices, really kind kitchen & counter staff and nice owners. I got super lucky today. They were serving their delicious Coq au vin (got it with little extra sauce, the best ever!) There's a take out case full of fresh favorites of anything you could ever want. The deli case has all the best salads & sides you could ever dream of. They have nice desserts & a perfect selection of wine as well. Also noteworthy; they worked hard during the pandemic to stay open & safely serve our community which is something my whole family is incredibly thankful for.
