Pretty good food, a little pricy, standard fare. Exceptionally good service though.

What a great find! Excellent menu with lots of delicious options, especially for vegetarians. Tofu rocked! Endless side dishes!Service was friendly, quick and excellent! Only complaint was the volume of the TV monitor. There was nice singing, it was just too loud. Otherwise, a wonderful place! We will return!

I've come here a couple of times. They're menu is pretty robust with not just Korean but also sushi options to choose from. There's a nice outdoor seating area that is maintained to not accumulate the dust/dirt on the tables. The food is well prepared, spicy (a must), and the service is quick and friendly.

Highly recommend this place to everyone. The Korean food is decent, the portion of Japchae is definitely for 2 people, price is affordable. The kimchi stew with the rice is so good in the raining cold weather. And one of the thing, the service here is sooooo friendly and helpful. I forgot my bag and the server found me to give back. Will definitely come back again for sure.

This place is definitely my favorite for Korean food in Berkeley. I went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't busy at all and the staff were very attentive and quick with service. They brought us complimentary banchan, which were delicious and consisted of broccoli, kimchi, seaweed salad, and cucumber kimchi. My friend ordered the beef dolsot (5/5), which came with a side of spicy miso soup and was served in a sizzling hot stone pot. It was loaded with protein, veggies, and topped with a fried egg and everything in it complimented each other perfectly. Super delicious and generous portion for $21!I ordered the spicy beef stew (4/5), which was also $21. The dish was not too spicy at all, in my opinion, and paired well with the rice that it came with. In the soup, there was glass noodle, shredded beef, and a bunch of veggies. Again, the portions were super generous, and I really enjoyed the soup on a cold night, but the shredded beef in the soup wasn't my favorite.

Cozy Korean fare with tasty food and some issues. Everything is customizable, so you get exactly what you want. +Menu is pretty badly laid out, and disorganized. Even with photos it can be quite daunting. -But if you like having a ton of options, this is a good place for you. Their kimchi soup is lovely and has glass noodles which is quite different than other places. +The dolsot bimbimap (dolbi) is perfection, except for the price. +-They now officer sushi which was nothing special for an almost $20 price tag. Staff was attentive and service was quick and thoughtful. We went with a couple of kids and they were super nice and accommodating to us. They have a BIG issue with their accounting software that they should fix asap. But when they charge you gratuity, for groups of 6 or more, they charge the tax ON TOP of both the tax and the gratuity, in addition to the total. This is not ok, of course, you should not pay tax on top of tax and on top of gratuity. The staff are not the ones doing this, it's from their account software. But it sucks for customers. Lots of street parking, inside and outside seating, and a good vibe.

Amazing, amazing, AMAZING! I came here whilst visiting San Francisco and came back the next day! The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and some of the best I've had! Not to mention service is wonderful and everyone is so nice! Overall the place is so heartwarming. I can tell the food is made from the heart, and definitely worth the money! My family and I were even given lollipops when the check came out, which was just the cherry on top! Would definitely recommend!!

The wings are not worth ordering because the sauce was ketchup heavy and not tasty, nor were the wings crispy. The spicy chicken hot stone bibimbap was great though. Appreciated the seasoning on top of the egg. Heavy on the veggies but not as heavy on the meat.Kimchi pancake was crispy and delicious! The short rib (galbi) was disappointing because it was mostly bone versus meat. Service was great and there is free parking!

I love Spoon! I've been here multiple times and it's always consistent and great! My favorite dish is the Chicken Wings, we order it every time we come. Just get them! My favorite is also the Korean Noodle Soup!! It's so good and cozy. The Honey Ginger citron tea is delicious and feels like it would be perfect when you have a cold. The kimchi fried rice is also a heavy hitter! This place is is overall great. The service is great and everyone is always so nice. The outdoor seating is great on a nice day/night and there's also a few seats inside.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Spoon Korean restaurant, and I am absolutely delighted to share my fantastic experience with their Bibimbap and soups. If you're a fan of authentic Korean cuisine or just looking for a culinary adventure, Spoon is a must-visit.Let's start with the Bibimbap. It was nothing short of a flavor explosion! The presentation alone was a feast for the eyes, with colorful vegetables artfully arranged on top of a bed of perfectly cooked rice. The star of the show, of course, was the choice of protein - whether it was tender beef, savory tofu, or another option, each bite was a burst of rich, savory goodness. The assortment of pickled vegetables and gochujang sauce added layers of flavor and texture, creating a harmonious and satisfying dish. It's a prime example of the balance and complexity that makes Korean cuisine so remarkable. Now, onto the soups. Spoon truly excels in crafting soul-warming soups that transport you to the heart of Korea. Whether it was the hearty and spicy Kimchi Jjigae or the comforting Beef Seolleongtang, each bowl was a comforting embrace of flavors. The soups were rich, aromatic, and made with a depth of flavor that only comes from hours of slow cooking and meticulous attention to detail. What sets Spoon apart is their commitment to authenticity. The ingredients are top-notch, and it's evident that they take pride in preserving the traditional flavors and recipes of Korean cuisine. The service at Spoon was impeccable. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to provide recommendations. They were more than happy to accommodate any special requests or dietary preferences. The ambiance at Spoon was warm and inviting, creating a perfect atmosphere for both casual dinners and special occasions. It's a place where you can savor your meal and enjoy the company of friends and family.

Went here twice during my 5-day visit in SF/Berkeley, had the best spicy beef stew ever. Service was super friendly, attention to details that is beyond average bistro level, generous in portion, and they have a cute little patio seating area. All the staff were super friendly, always had a genuine smile on their faces, and they give you a lollipop upon checking out! A place worth visiting and re-visiting if you ever crave for Korean food
