Ordered takeout. Food was delivered HOT! General Taos chicken was good. Shrimp smelled fishy so I didn't eat the shrimp. Rice was fine. Would try again before saying this place is a no go.

BEST CHINESE TAKEOUT IN LOS ANGELES! My favorite dish is their Crispy Honey Shrimp With Walnuts. Another must have is their Chicken Dumpling Potstickers. I love their Sweet and Sour Pork as well as their Moo Shoo Pork. Almost forgot about the Spicey Crispy Beef. The food has so much flavor and its prep is very consistent. I have always grabbed my food to-go. Check them out!

Had a poor first experience but decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, we had the same result. The food just isn’t good. They are insanely overpriced considering how low the quality of their food is. The General Tso chicken was really bad. Very chewy/soggy.

Most delicious food!! Stopped in for a quick lunch. King Pao chicken!!! Fresh, just right, crunchy green peppers, tiny corms, water chestnuts. Served piping hot, with fluffy rice!!

We've been going to Chef Ming's as long as they've been here. Since it's one of our closest places for Chinese takeout that's the reason. We haven't ordered from them for a long time and I noticed they added a lot more items to their menu.I decided to get the Mu Shu Duck, Hot & Crispy Shrimp, Vegetable Fried Rice and Sauteed String Beans. They had a Summer special when you order over $75 you get to choose one of four free appetizers. I chose the potstickers. I didn't realize I ordered that much but that was okay. We have leftovers. The orders were pretty sizeable and was way too much food for two people.Starting from the best to worst - Mu Shu Duck was very tasty but the hoisin sauce was a little runny for my taste. I ordered the string beans cooked in black bean sauce. Very tasty and crunchy. The rice was also delicious, hard to ruin that. The shrimp was not crispy at all. It seem like they deep fry them with batter and cover them with a sauce that's like ketchup. Not what I was expecting. Lastly, the potstickers tasted like they were baked - soft, spongy and cold. We threw them out.Overall, there food is fresh and I've never had a problem with the quality of dishes but you have to know which ones are the best. After all these years you think I would know by now.

Mid tbh. We walked from from my house to the shop just To find some mid food. We were gonna go to Mr chow but wanted to try something else. Not the spot.

Ordered the General Tso's lunch special. For starters, the soup wasn't great. I think it was egg drop, not sure. They don't really tell you when you order online, it's just soup or salad. Had a couple sips and threw it out. The egg roll wasn't bad, but they didn't include any sauce. No sweet and sour, no hot mustard, not even any soy sauce in the bag!The chicken itself was ok. Not a huge portion, but tasty enough. If they did a better job with the rest of the lunch special it would've been 4 stars, but having bad soup and no dipping sauce for the eggroll was definitely a disappointment.

I went to this restaurant today Sunday. I'm not going again. Never was I asked how the food was? Never was I asked if I needed water. The table was dirty. The food doesn't have the chinesse flavor you would expect, a TV dinner would be better for a lot less of your money. I was wondering why no one was eating there except me and probably it is because they know better. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. I'm new in the area so I'm learning the hard way. Where else do they serve your food in plastic trays? To go is fine, but I like to eat out of a plate when I set down at a restaurant and I'm paying enough that I should at least eat from a decent plate not some throw away trays. This is very scary! In the 80's I used to live here in LA and there was some great chinesse food around- things have gone down hill. Sorry to rant so much but please don't waste your money and time.

Have been going there since they opened. Reasonably good for to go Chinese food. Prices are much too high for this type of food. There is no way inflation of wholesale food costs cause their prices to need this level of increase. $19 for fried rice, seriously ridiculous.

I spotted this place while having brunch at La Province next door.Hole in the wall but after giving it a try I must admit that the world of dining, size really doesn't matter! Welcome to Chef Ming's Kitchen, the little restaurant that could... and absolutely does, especially when it comes to tickling your taste buds with authentic Asian flavors.Let's set the scene: I had lunch at Panda Express before my dinner at Chef Ming's. Now, there's no bad blood between me and Panda, but after eating at Chef Ming's, it was clear who wore the flavor crown. Ming's dishes are less oily, have no MSG, and aren't as salty - it's like they attended an etiquette school for well-behaved dishes! This restaurant may be tiny, with only a bar counter for on-site dining, but don't underestimate its size. The takeout service is like a relentless conveyor belt of deliciousness, churning out order after order of fantastic food. The prices may aim for the Beverly Hills stars, but believe me, your wallet won't mind once your mouth gets a taste of the magic. In a nutshell, Chef Ming's Kitchen might be small, but it's got enough personality to outshine any of its larger asian food counterparts. It's like the little engine that could, puffing full steam ahead on the rails of culinary delight, leaving fast food joints like Panda Express in its delicious dust.
