The food was amazing! The geisha were magical! The staff were courteous and attentive. The owner Sean followed up after the show to ask us about our experience and to ask for our feedback, I felt honored that our view mattered on the service provided. Afterwards he invited us to a private show! I can not wait!This is not a restaurant but an important cultural education that everyone should take the time to experience!!! It is well worth the price for a night you can ONLY experience at Gion Beverly Hills!

They told us to come at 1:15, when we arrived ,the owner said the show is already began at 12. There is no show at 1:15 which he promised through the phone earlier. And this kinda things happened TWICE!The owner did not feel sorry about it and was being really disrespectful to us at all. It’s not about money, I don’t care if you upgraded to a $500 show. I don’t need your upgrade without your sincere apologies . Is not that hard to committed mistakes . And it is not hard to apologize to the customer. Beautiful venue, great food and wonderful people!!! Geisha is so hard to see even in Japan, cause they are referral only if you are not a connection already. This is a place beyond food and service, of course the food is really good, it is really a place you come and self reflect, then enjoy a great time immerse yourself in a unique culture. Eye opening! I have built a great relationship with the owner Sean, and decided to buy a membership with them already! We cannot wait for them to fully open up. Already booked the place for our wedding ceremony in 2023!

My boyfriend took me on a surprise date to this teahouse for a unique opportunity to meet a professional geisha and watch a live dance performance! It was great learning about the geisha and maiko cultures, and Gion changed the perception I had of geisha. Not only was the food amazing (A5 wagyu beef and homemade miso paste yum!) but also got to experience an authentic traditional tea ceremony. Can't wait to return and learn some Japanese drinking games!

This is a rare and potentially once in a lifetime opportunity to meet certified Geisha and Maiko from Japan. As someone who has a lot of business ties to Japan, I know first hand that this kind of experience is not easy or cheap to book even for Japanese in their home country. (In Japan Geisha will only perform and meet clients by referral and these people do not easily refer strangers as they are often VIP types.) The fact that you'll get to see and meet culturally protected icons here outside Japan and get to actually interact with them is something you cannot easily put a price on. Once this tea room is completed and properly opened, I am pretty sure I will be unable to have another one of these experiences due to it always being reserved months in advance. I will never forget the amazing food, tea ceremony, and the incredible sweets I was able to taste in the presence of professional Geisha who have dedicated their entire lives to their craft. Don't miss out and hurry to book your opportunity, this is probably your only chance!
