Worst Dim sum Ever Went on a Monday afternoon and there was not a lot of people in the restaurant as it was also quiet , which I should've known already that it might not be a very authentic restaurant( unlike a traditional dim sum place you know). We got seated and order tea (which is $2 per person) and we didn't even get to choose which tea although there were options. The guy who looks like a manager brings out the tea pot and the condiments (that got contaminated and mixed when it got on the table). The menu is really small and doesn't have a lot of staples like steamed rice rolls with shrimps or beef. We were hungry so instead of leaving we ended up ordering: 1. Spare rib : lacked so much flavor but the rest were worse so it made this one of the good ones 2. Shiu mai: it was one of the worst shiu mai I ever had. It was extremely dry and dense and the texture was just off. It was not very flavorful to the point that the condiments or soy sauce couldn't help it. 3. Shrimp Har Gow: it was just average and didn't feel like homemade. It just tasted like it was taken out of the package and steamed. 4. Sticky rice with chicken: this dish might've just been a bag of sticky rice bc there was barely any chicken. The small part that had chicken and sauce was very blend and barely infused no chicken flavor to the rice. 5. Won Ton in chilli sauce : it was saturated with peanut flavor and the filling wasn't very flavorful. The texture of the filling was off too. 6. Egg yolk buns: nothing special about them. Just tastes like a prepackaged ones from Asian grocery markets. 7. XLB: by far the worst XLB I ever had with NO SOUP inside. Just a dry pork dumpling. 8. Chicken feet: if you guys don't want to believe me on the other dishes, at least I know my chicken feet. The chicken feet is by far the worst dish of the day. It was bland and lacked black bean flavor and jalapeño flavor. The color was also very off, the traditional chicken feet usually have a red braised color but this one had an orange hue that made it look like orange chicken. Our total bill was $83.33. While the service was adequate, the overall dining experience did not align with the value. We left a tip of $85, recognizing the service staff's effort despite our dissatisfaction with the meal. We tipped and left BUT we forgot the car key so we had to come back and this is where the story begins. I didn't even want to write this review at first because it is probably just one of those places that is not traditional but suitable for the target market in that area so I didn't want to bother and just never come back here again. Anyway, I went to go back and get the key and they have it. While the manager from before was giving me the keys, he asked me if I wrote the tip wrong instead of $95? No, I told him that I wrote $85. So he was like "is there anything wrong with the service?". I told him that there was nothing wrong with the service, the service was alright, it was mostly the food. Then he asked something like " what about the food? That we need to improve on?". Tbh I can't believe he don't even know what is wrong with the food bc there have been so many recent reviews that say similar things (which I should've read before I went) but I was just being honest and told him that the food just didn't taste very authentic or traditional and really let our expectations fall apart and not make us satisfied at all. He seems to not be very happy about my answer and he sounds very passive aggressive the whole time. He was like" Ok At least I saved your keys so you won't lose it again". I just said "Thank you" and left. I won't be surprised if he's reading this review but I believe it's important to share our experience so that fellow dim sum enthusiasts can set their expectations accordingly. I hope this feedback can be constructive and contribute to potential improvements in the future.

差劲 糟糕 不会推荐 Bù huì tuījiàn Establishment is under new ownership. This place used to have great service and a larger menu that has now been condensed which is fine but they took out a good amount of dishes that were worth coming here for. The set up and scenery is the same but this review is due to my recent visit when I decided to stop by since I was in the area. I came in around lunch time with my spouse and they weren't busy but we had to share a table with another couple who had been waiting since all their two party tables were taken and the other larger tables that sits parties of 4 or more were left open. This was fine, we both were able to sit on opposite ends and enjoy our meals. We had ordered the shrimp har gow which seemed bland and shrimp and pork Shiu mai which came out warm and didn't seem freshly made. After that, we got our main dish which was the beef chow fun and this was the most oily beef chow fun I had. We had to order some tea to help finish it. I caught myself having to drink a cup after a bite or two. If you love overly oily then this is for you. The only thing worth grabbing was the egg custard bun. After paying and leaving a 10% tip, I went to go wash my hands in the restroom and come out to be stopped by what I assume is the manager since this lady was in regular clothes attire at the front to ask me why I didn't tip more as she showed me the receipt. I looked at her confused and responded that I left 10 percent of what I had ordered. After that, I could care less for this establishment.

This place ok. It was a Friday night and it was kind of empty which I was kind of surprised. There wasn't a hostess that night I guess which I found weird, but the food was relatively good. We got the creamy shrimp and walnuts, hot and sour soup, the bbq fried pork and the dim sum sampler. The shrimp was amazing and so was the dim sum but wasn't really a fan of the soup or the pork. The pork was is small fried pieces but it had bones in it. Which I dont know if that is the traditional way, but it was pretty hard to eat. Overall not a bad experience but I don't think I'll be going again.

Very disappointed at their recent change in menu. Much less choices in dim sum. Down to maybe 10 or so Cantonese style dim sum. But added a bunch of other non Cantonese style small dish such as xiao look bao and other northern style dishes. This is no longer a legit dim sum place. I won't be going there anymore unless they beef up their dim sum selections.

Stopped in here because traffic report said 2 hours home. Early on a Wednesday, nobody here. A little concerned I took a seat with my Dad and hoped for the best. It's mid-week after all... Service was excellent! Henry was our server and he was great! He was super patient and went through everything for us. Sure the place was empty but it's evident that they really care. And the food was even better! Wonton soup had the perfect amount of pepper, and a nice blend of unique wontons, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. Soup dumplings also excellent! The honey prawns were terrific and the rice was some of the best fried rice I've ever had! Best part was the tea! Must be a secret recipe.... Sorry I didn't take pics of the food, was too hungry. But the tea presentation in the cast iron pot and the lovely dishes are attached. When we left at 7, the place started filling in with guests.... Not bad for a Wednesday! Very happy to see that because you want a great place like this to do well! We will be back....

Fantastic Dim Sum, great food - it's the real deal. We had so many items on the menu, everything was amazing. Crab, Lobster, Dim Sum, crispy Tofu with mushrooms (WOW), some sort of flan like seafood dish, soo good, noodles with chicken, fried whole fish, peaking duck I wish I knew how much food was ordered so I could pace myself. The service was good, a bit rushed but we managed that. I am so happy to know there is Dim Sum and really amazing Chinese food on this side of town!

Peaking Duck and green beans were tasty. Service was great. Make sure you get there before 8:30pm though. They close at 9 and will basically push you out at 9 even if you're still eating

We want here for the first time to celebrate my father's 93rd birthday! We were pleasant surprises with the food. It was delicious and the size of the dim sum was large. The staff were friendly and the prices are reasonable. We will be returning forsure.

What happened? The old manager Mr. king retired and there's a new restaurant manager. Which is fine...except their morning/early afternoon Dim Sum changed. We usually come here every other weekend for Dim Sum. Today will be the last time I'll be coming here. Our group sat down to order and 7 out of 10 dim sum we usually order is no longer part of the menu. Yep...ALL but ONE of our favorite Dim Sum remained. 2 eh so-so menu item was mediocre with minimal flavor. Also ordered Fried Rice and Chow Fun....Not edible. Greasy and the chow fun noodles was greasy and all broken. The Fried Rice had no flavor. Overall sad to say..our group of 6-8 ONLY come for Dim Dum and lunch....now we'll find somewhere new.

Terrible service and food. I feel embarrassed I chose this restaurant to bring friends who recently moved to Los Angeles. Our waiter was rude and the food was not fresh. I would have been better off getting dim sum from Traders Joe's

The spicy pork dumplings had peanuty flavor to them and were the star of our lunch. The other dim sum items like turnip cakes, har gow and steamed pork buns were just your standard fare. They were quite alright. We came in late afternoon and it was pretty empty. Parking was super easy too, the restaurant is located in a nice neighborhood. Speedy service and the food was overall good for the price. There are better places for dim sum, but this place is still a nice option in a pinch.

happy to have found a dimsum place so close to the west side!! i came on a saturday at 3pm and it was fairly empty (though there was heavy rain) so we were seated promptly. the shiu mai, bbq pork buns, lotus sticky rice, and sesame balls were all great and freshly prepared. the standout was definitely the garlic pea shoots which were pricy ($26) but worth IMO. they didn't have changfen/rice noodle rolls and the preserved egg and pork porridge was a little lacking in seasoning for my taste. we also wanted egg tarts but they had run out by the afternoon. however, the tea and service were great and i'll definitely be coming back :)

As a Chinese, I can say that this place taste like China. I've been to many dim sum places around SGV but this place outstanding. Food are very authentic and service was so genuine. The entire time I was just shocked. I can tell the food preparation was done with care, and nothing is too salty or bland, it's perfect. I would definitely take my grandparents here and 100% recommend to my asian fellows!!!
