I had a French dip. The bread was bland and soggy. The meat was smoked and I didn't realize that because I dislike smoked meat and I would not have ordered it. The coleslaw was tasty. My husband had the Waldorf chicken salad sandwich and he said it was good, but I couldn't try it because I'm allergic to nuts. Our waitress was very sweet but she didn't offer to remove the sandwich from our bill even though I only ate a bite. I was a waitress when I was in college, so I know it can be a thankless job sometimes. I try to be polite and even leave a tip no matter how the food is, but it was frustrating to feel like I just lost $30 since I only ate the coleslaw.

My family and I came here for a rare day trip. I have a small service dog not a big lab Retriever or Golden Retriever as my medical problem doesn't require a large breed. My dog looks like an emotional support animal but is not. My dog came into question when I wanted to keep him seated on my knee hidden under the table. I had him covered with my leather jacket and not one hair was visible. He's very quiet and very well trained and well behaved.A lady , maybe the manager, approached me at the table we were seated at and she asked me to put him on the floor . I said ok . She left and I didn't put him an the floor. He wasn't visible to anyone under the table on my knee . I dont like to have him lay where people's shoes have been after they have trodden in dirt and slush from the snow outside. He's very clean and bathed often . Sometime passed and we had placed our order. I even forgot my dog was on my knee. Back comes Lady ( possibly manager.) She tells me I must put the dog on the floor . She keeps repeating herself . I then tell her if she will leave I will comply. She then threatened me that if I don't put the dog on the floor she will have the dog removed!!!!!!!! Has anyone ever heard of an instance where a pumped up controlling person wants to exert power and separate a person with a medical condition from their service dog.I want you all to know that I complied but I saw red! I wish that I had left the darned place.I ordered fish and chips and I got such severe acid after that. I don't know if it was because of the anxiety or the grease.The server was great though .My dog is a service dog but he had a problem when burglars broke into my home when he was alone. They ransacked the home. Maybe they abused him . I have to take care of him too just like he takes care of me . It affected him and disturbed his training. .Miss Manager was so rude at the table . My whole family felt affected. It destroyed our nice pleasant day. She needs to get a life ! Theres such a thing as being flexible. Caution if you have a dog. You might want to go somewhere else. They are not dog friendly.

Went there for a late night dinner had a salad and drinks. Every thing was perfect. The waiter recommended LA Bonita drink and it was delicious. It is a clean and fun environment, I will definitely be back.

We're were waiting for our seating for an hour. Waiting area inside was full area outside was completely empty as it is 32 degrees outside. We as many people were in out door area and very rude guy came out and made us all leave while waiting for this restaurants seating. This place does allow kids at certain levels. Very frustrating. Rude guys name was Adam.

Quoted wait times are inaccurate. Not good for large parties. If your party 6-7 people I would just go somewhere else. Hostesses should get a refresher on hospitality. Food was ok. The drinks were better. Will not be returning to the restaurant area.
Went there last night for my husbands birthday dinner. We weren't very hungry because we had a pretty big lunch at Saucy Mama's. Service was excellent, atmosphere was so nice, no loud music and low lighting made it feel fancy. We got the Onion Straws, Steak Tacos, House Salad and Mango Margarita, all of it was really good. We will be back on our next Big Bear visit. Thanks Oakside for a great dinner experience.
