BEST UBER EATS delivery meal ever! My husband and I wanted something quick on a Sunday evening and were craving Chamorro cuisine. Everything was delicious and DID NOT disappoint. You can taste the flavors and love put into all the food items and I really appreciate they took the time to plastic wrap all items to avoid spills etc from restaurant to home for food delivery. The pork ribs had a smoky and irresistible flavor while their empanadas were very flavorful. The fact that they also do sushi as well amazes me! I hope JJ's is forever to stay because each food item tasted amazing! Phenomenal work to the team and we can't wait until next time to order again!

This is one of my favorite local restaurants! Everything I've tried has been delicious! My family particularly likes the teriyaki salmon, chicken katsu, keluguen, and sushi. The price is fantastic for the quality and portions! Definitely one of the best spots for value in SD. I normally order the teriyaki salmon with red rice, and have enough for two meals. They also have great lunch specials! JJ's also have friendly staff, easy parking, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

JJ's Island Grindz serves up some amazing dishes! I highly recommend the Chamorro Combo. The pork ribs is bomb! I substituted chicken for beef kelaguen which was so flavorful and the sides of red rice and potato salad fill you up in the best way possible. It's so good, I've been back twice this week! Also the service was amazing on a busy Sunday afternoon!

My favorite for sure it's really hard to find Chamorro food and my besties and I were definitely needing to fuel up for our shopping trip and ate here ! The portions were definitely family style and the food was incredible !!! The service was amazing ! Def going to come here and check out the bar next ! Wish I had a chance to review the food, but after our party of three was told to grab any open both, we were ignored for the next 25 minutes. No menus, no water and no acknowledgment. There was a large group in the front of the restaurant celebrating a birthday but otherwise the restaurant wasn't busy. Our group finally left to find better service and we won't be back.

Great food and service! I have never dined in but the food is always good and the portion size is perfect. I usually get the chicken with the red rice and the kalbi as well.

My partner and I just moved in nearby and after the movers left we decided to try JJ's today because of the wide variety of food they have. I decided to get the Chicken Katsu Curry and they decided to get the Loco Moco, and we split an order of the Spam Musubi. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were much bigger than expected! The service was also wonderful. We had two separate people help us out, our main server and maybe a manager as well? Business was on the more intimate side when we dropped by for lunch, but everyone seemed to be in very good spirits. Between the food, service, and proximity to our new place we will DEFINITELY be back again.

1st time visit to this local grinds place, was recommended by our neighbors. We did a phone take out order and it took about 15-20 mins which wasn't too bad and whoever answered was super nice as we got some recommendations. We got the karage chicken, huli huli chicken, and the loco moco. Everything was really tasty, especially the Mac salad was the highlight. (Mac salads are a hit or miss at all Hawaiian restaurants.) I think we'll actually try dine in next visit since it's so close to our home, to get the full experience.

Found JJs by mistake, GREAT FOOD here!! We tried almost everything on the menu and not one item disappointed.. EVERYONE should try out the food here!! Service was quick, people were very nice.. Only downside is being an old islander it reminded me of my family get togethers 45 50 years ago.. my grandmas old style cooking.. It can be a bit hard to find, sits back off the road a bit.. we live an hour away but definitely will be back soon!!
