Giving 4 stars. Service was excellent, 5 star. Food was 3-3/1/2 star. Basic but tasty. Decor was pleasant. That said, the chips and salsa need to be rethought. Also, my plate had a huge chip (not a tortilla, ) on the edge.

The spot has a lovely cozy vibe but the food lacked flavor for me personally.Took my Mother here for her Bday breakfast to remind her of home, Guadalajara. We are outside since we had a dog in the car nearby. The cups for their cafe is beautiful!

This place took a dump since they changed to the larger location. The front of house does not work in conjunction with the kitchen. The quality of the food went down maybe half a notch mainly because it was not hot. I usually went for the white menudo but I have found a couple of other places that still care about the food they serve. It appears that the management is not taste testing the food , they should try it, it will keep the kitchen on their toes. Maybe do something to improve the quality efficiency in the front of house as well.

Too much oregano in the salsa has kept me away for 30(+) years... Since Café Olé is no more, try Tacos El Trompo better.

if you see some of my post I love food and I Love leaving good feedback as well as bad... I'd rather never have a bad experience, but people.... this wasnt our first choice, but a guy from our church picked another place close by that was closed for lunch. To be fair if I saw 3 stars I might not have come. But the service was a 5 star and all the food was 4 star or better. From the chilaquiles with fresh fried tortillas, to the mole and I had the Steak Fajitas which were flame grilled and great! our party of 6 always had our drinks refilled our salsa kept coming back full and more chips... how much can 6 guys eat... a lot! Well done! Ive driven by 1000 times or more and always wondered. I will definitely be back for the chilaquiles next time.

First time here... food was ok not excited. Chips and salsa or pick de gallo 1/10 I ordered enchiladas de mole were 6/10 something I'd never go back for. My friend ordered chorizo con huevos 8/10 Tamales we're reheated awful. Plates have not presentation :0( Service was good Ambiance was to quite, you can hear utensils, I mean something I didn't like sorry Not for me so I do not recommend

Began eating at Jalisco's in Imperial Beach in 1972 when I owned the Liquor store on Palm n 16th, but Bonita has the same recipes in is usually more convenient. Highly recommend our favorites, the beef and bean burrito and the Chiles Rellenos. Their beans n rice are way above average too. Never had a bad meal at either location.

Stop microwaving the rellenos! Sad because this place was "twice a week" for years. Service was friendly and the highlight of our meal.

This is the second time we have been here since the old location. Not sure if they switched owners or cooking staff but it's definitely not the same. Food was ok, just ok. Menudo for my wife was good, pozole was ok, I agree with another customer, it tastes more like tortilla soup with hominy.
