It is the best cake I've ever had. Very rich and smooth. I believe I've had at least 10 in the past 2-3 weeks. Moist, sweet, and just simply delicious. Downside is the delivery took over 50 minutes (Estimate was 25-30) and the cups for the cake are smaller than expected. Other than that it's amazing! It's so good I can't help but get more.

Delicious stuff, chocolate cake was very moist and rich. Way better than a Safeway cake or whatever. Treat yourself

Went to the store front and we always enjoy talking with Kayla. The chocolate chip cookie warmed up was really good as was the hibiscus mint tea lemonade. As usual the macaroons and carrot cake were yummy!! We tried the new snickerdoodle cookie - the edges were crispy the middle was a little too soft for my liking - I'm not a fan of eating undercooked cookie dough so I ate around the middle and really liked the flavor.

I preordered macarons and they cancelled my order - after being accepted. It was for a gift I wanted to give a foodie friend. Saw cool items perfect for gifts on their website. The employee on the phone who picked up was telling me to go to downtown Fullerton which isn't near their Brea mall location and the freeway. But also... why would I have to go somewhere else if I preordered and my order was "ready"? Beyond that, they do seem low on items and inventory. Beware that they might not have what you want before you head over there, since it may not be there anyways.

Kaylas cake is located in a kiosk in Brea Mall. It's really close to the ebar at Nordstrom's, a little bit away from Sees Candies. I couldn't locate them at first and had to call. I ordered three macarons: caramel, rose vanilla, and creme brûlée. The overwhelming flavor across the board was SWEET. I would not recommend the creme brûlée as it was just sweet and I couldn't taste anything else. It just tasted of sugar. The caramel was my favorite as it had a deeper caramel taste to it even though it was still too sweet. I could taste the rose in the rose vanilla but again, the overly sweetness made it hard for me to want to enjoy more of. I have to say, the cookies are baked well and technique wise it's there - it's just the sweetness level that bothered me. The presentation, design, and colors were beautiful. Perhaps I should have chosen a more fruity flavor to hopefully get some balance of tartness to the overwhelming sweetness. I would come back if I was super craving macarons and this was the only option in a 10 mile radius.

This review is specifically for the one in Brea mall. First of all, I would give 5 stars for the girl working the stand; she was as sweet as a macaron and when she forgot to put our free yelp check-in macaron in the box, she ran to catch up to give it to us! That being said, the macarons themselves are more of a 2 star review. They are one of my favorite desserts of all time and these ones just fell a little flat. The flavors aren't quite right...I thought my rose vanilla one tasted more like cotton candy, which was not pleasant and the affogato flavor (also a favorite dessert of mine) was very "fake coffee" tasting. The Belgian dark chocolate macaron I brought home to my husband had a much better flavor, but the consistency was not the airy, melt in your mouth feel you expect from a macaron. Being someone that actually makes macarons, I know they can be really difficult and so the price is fair, but I would try to find a more authentic French or Italian bakery for macarons that aren't so imitation flavor/overly sweet tasting.

So the taste of everything was delicious but I ducked down a star for the very high price. For the price alone, I will not come back here. I got six macaroons, they were all delicious especially the crème brûlée, two cake jars which were way too small for $8.50, and two different types of coffee which were only OK, very average. The macaroons were the big seller but for $4.25 for the special macaroons that is absolutely crazy high in price. Delicious? Yes. So if you don't care about the price I would recommend going here. We got a lot of The special ones which cost more because we thought they would be better but they ended up being just as yummy as the others. The cake jars were both good, the cake was pretty moist, but it wasn't amazing. The cake was not special and it was pretty small for that price. Then the chai coffee was average, and so was my partners coffee. So overall if you don't care about price I do think I would recommend this place because it was good,
