Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday for a small meal and tea. We were a bit full from an earlier outing, yet managed to try a few small appetizers and plates to curb our appetite. The tea was amazing! I recommend this place for a light meal. The ambiance was calm and quiet. Perfect for a small intimate celebration!

Love The Cafe @ Nordstrom! Food is always fresh, service delightful and the atmosphere is fun and always clean.Parking: Usually it’s an easy in & out, with plenty of parking. Last time I went was 1week til Christmas ?? so it was a bit more difficult to find a spot.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. Mine are grown, but when they were younger they would come with me all the time!

just had one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time with my wife at Marketplace Café. This restaurant is an absolute gem and the experience was made even better with exceptional service. From the manager Karina who set up a beautiful table for us with extras on it to set a romantic mood, to our waitress Christina who was filled with delightful recommendations of her favorite dishes for us to consider, every bit of this experience was enjoyable. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were all memorable. Hats off to the chef ??. Looking forward to frequenting this place the next time we are at Brea Mall, which knowing my wife will be sometime soon. ? Delicious burrata the bread is crispy on the outside and still soft. The pesto and balsamic vinegar compliment it perfectly. If I could I would eat this everyday. Their pizzas are really good. And of course who can forget their crème brûlée!!

Love all the Nordstrom cafe! The food is always soo good, service is great and it's a nice restaurant but also can be casual. My go to is always the heirloom tomato & burrata appetizer & the tomato soup. The cilantro lime salad is a staple as well.

They have really good salad dressings. The salad was delicious. The sandwich should have been hot throughout. Some parts of the sandwich was cold.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mom. She is in her sixties, Asian, have some difficulty speaking English. She came with two friends who are like her, and they wanted to sit by the window. They were told they cannot and were given some strange reason about how the restaurant was understaffed? Even though there were people sitting by the window… and more people were seated there as time went on? What does that even mean?The optics tell me this was very discriminatory, and my mom and her friends were ignored because of the language barrier. This is truly unacceptable. It’s a restaurant inside a mall. Calm down.

We always try to stop by if we are in the store, specially because their salmon salad. Today we even had a mimosa. Prices are not cheap, but the quality is very consistent. Love Rifka, our server, she was so sweet and helpful. Great food. Love the service. Rifka was the best !
The service attitude of the girls here is not bad, but this guy doesn't know what he is proud of. After his service attitude, I never want to patronize this store again!

As far as the shopping center of Brea is concerned, it is surprising that there is a restaurant with a good standard ~ easy to order and less minefields, I like it ~

They forgot my order and I know this because I could hear their entire conversation from where I was sitting, waiting for my to-go order right by. Didn't receive an apology or anything, the server acted like nothing happened. I waited over 20 minutes (nearly my entire lunch break) even though I called way ahead of time as this is what I usually do when I order from here. The service has gone down and i'm really disappointed because I always thought the service was great.

Nordstrom’s is my favorite place to shop and eat because the service is unbeatable. I don’t typically come to Brea often but i have come this direction a few times these past few weeks. My grandma loves the Clam Chowder. The last time I visited didn’t sit well with me. I dined in and ended up coming back after shopping to get some soup Togo. My server Sabrina while dining in was amazing. Only dine in complaint is that a guy was vacuuming while we were eating. The entire restaurant and close to all the tables. The rest of the staff not so much. Very much not the Nordstrom culture or vibe. As I was doing a Togo order the staff behind the counter was extra on their socializing about their personal lives. Which made it hard to place my order with the cashier. Another employee wearing two pigtail braids was eating a slice of cake behind the register as another employee was ringing people up. Yes I got to see her take a few bites, while i was waiting for my order. The order was ready and waiting on a counter without letting me know. I got up and asked a guy hey is this mine and went to show him my receipt and he was like you can check. I grabbed my order and left. To get home and my desert was a missing that i paid for. I called the store and got my money back from the “manager” of the cafe. I don’t remember her name because she wasn’t pleasant like the rest of the team. I explained to her about the employee eating and all she said was I’ll speak with her. No apology or Nordstrom feel of that this will be taken care of. I will return to this location because of coarse Nordstrom has amazing food. Especially their soups. I just won’t have any expectations that’s for sure.

The hostess, (not the cashier- she was great) but the older lady with dark hair definitely had that "I know better" with a cold face whenever I ask for plates or get seated when my friends are done ordering. Not sure what she was rushing for but this was definitely a mood killer. Good thing that the yummy food made up for it plus the server was friendly & attentive but that hostess/busser lady definitely brought some negative energy to the awesome team.
