The BEST coke I ever ever had in my entire life! Elizabeth was our server and she was fast accurate and also kept our drinks filled. The food was hot when it came out and delicious! Will definitely come here again

I have been going to The Whole Enchilada for YEARS! Over 30 to be exact! Started with the location in Diamond Bar. When that one closed, we followed Arturo and Lupe to the Yorba Linda location. I moved out of state and am visiting here in California so my son, his fiancé' , my grandson met my brother there for dinner tonight. NEVER! And I mean NEVER in all the years of us going there have we EVER been told we COULD NOT HAVE ANY MORE CHIPS! We had asked 3 times for a new basket snd never got them. On the 4 request the server said the manager said we could ONLY HAVE MORE IF WE PAID FOR THEM! Mind you we only had 1 basket refreshed! They initially set 2 baskets down for the 5 of us but the one that had 3 people eating out of it was refreshed. Not the other initial one. I was SHOCKED!!! I couldn't believe it when our server told us this. To top it off, we had just ordered an order of guacamole! Had we known we wouldn't get another basket of chips we never would have ordered it! With a bill over $125.00 one more basket of chips would not have broke their bank!! Service was horrible as well. Server NEVER asked if we'd like a refill on any of our drinks either! I'm positive if we had requested to be seated in Arturo or Lupe's section, if he was working, our service would have been what we're accustomed too from this establishment. Didn't dare ask for the flour tortillas that were supposed to come with one of the plates ordered as we probably would've been told we'd have to pay extra for those too! Things in California are fastly changing. And not for the better either it seems. Very disappointed in a family tradition we always enjoyed when I lived in California.

Simply the best!!! We've been going here for over 40 years and it has never disappointed. My wife loves the Baja Tacos and I always get the Rueben's Special with beans. It is good and hot and always taste amazing. They also have the best chips and salsa around. Highly recommended.

I actually do like this place as does my family. My three stars is not based off the food. I would rate the food at 5 stars, as well as their table service, but I'm really not happy with my experience there today. I would like to note this is not against our table server as he was amazing. This would be on the manager today. I've been going to this establishment for YEARS. Everytime I go there I order the sopa de ablondigas and because I am vegetarian I get it without the meatballs. The soup is around $8, so because I don't get the meatballs (and there is no meatless peice) so I am typically given 2 bowls of the broth soup with vegetables. The picture shown is the bowl serving size. When I get this they give me a bowl twice the size of what is pictured. Well today was the first time in all the years I've been coming here that I would have to purchase 2 if I wanted that. This was the manager's decision, not my server. So essentially... they wanted me to pay $16 for vegetable soup with no meat.... that is not even remotely reasonable. The other part of this experience I am very much bot ok with, is that when I told the server I had been in there 3 days prior and had ordered this (which is true) they asked me which server I had. It is absolutely not ok with me as a customer that you are trying to essentially get me to rat out a server who did a fabulous job and who was also doing only what had been done for me for years! It was not just one server that allowed this. It's every server I've had over the past 4 years. Why would you put a customer in the awkward position of getting a server they liked in trouble? I am not saying this is a bad place to eat. It isn't. I'm simply upset that this experience was handled the way it was by the manager. There either needs to be a meatless price given, or make this right and consider $8 for a bowl of broth and veggies is ridiculous. I can get twice that size at panera for the same cost. Same with fish grill. There are many other places I can get more soup for a cheaper price than this. So while I do love this place for the soup, I won't be coming here nearly as frequently because there won't be much on the menu for me to eat. My family and I would choose this for family outings BECAUSE there was something on the menu I could eat. We will now be taking our business elsewhere for our future family outings.

As soon as you walk in, you either do a pick up at the window or walk towards the back where you can be seated. The waitress greeted us right away. They were all very kind and welcoming. I wish I got her name because she made our experience that much better. The food was not as authentic as I was hoping for. I got the asada burrito and my daughter got the kids chicken strips. The burrito had chunks of burnt meat. It was full of diced onions more than anything else. Anyway, 4 stars because of the service.

First time here for lunch with husband. We enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and the servers were all friendly. Excellent cold sodas and chips within minutes of arrival, good start! Huge menu of options. Our burritos we nice and big, tasty and had just the right amount of sauce. We will be back for more soon.

I was not expecting a whole lot from this place- but wanted to give it a try to say that I did. And I was genuinely surprised. The enchilada was okay- I do wish they had an option for salsa verde. And although this was "Americanized" Mexican food, it was actually pretty good! The tamales tasted amazing, rice and beans were great, the what I call "American style" tacos hit the spot. This felt like a childhood 90s restaurant and gives nostalgia feels all the way. The pricing was a bit high, and the table service was nothing horrible, but nothing great. I would definitely return for the tamales and tacos!

Some years back a former co-worker took me to this place and I really enjoyed it but then forgot the name and location in the ensuing months and years....always wondered what place that was... Then today just looking around the general area of my work I saw The Whole Enchilada on Google Map and being that it's Taco Tuesday it sounded like a good place to give a try.... I arrive and it slowly dawns on me as I enter and am seated that this is that place I had wondered about for years. I was really excited to have found it again. The chips and salsa are simply the best. The crispy chicken tacos were superb and as simple as rice and beans sound to prepare and serve, I think we have all had our share of disappointing rice and bean experiences but The Whole Enchilada got everything perfectly correct. Gonna make this my Tuesday go-to!

Food was bland. Drinks had no alcohol at all, even the kids lemonade and Shirley temple were super watered down. To top it off, everything was expensive! $15 for a Pisco sour with barely any alcohol! Not going back. $9 for guacamole....

There was a website featuring coupons the exact same as those in the local magazine, but the restaurant staff would not honor it when dining here a couple months ago. It had the restaurant's name and address, an expiration date, and the same criteria and offer as you would find in the mailer. Corporate never bothered to compensate me either - just to say that they did not authorize that website. The food is fine - really great salsa, but I wouldn't say the entrees are anything incredible. Don't plan to go back due to the unhonored coupon though.

Food was good! I got the Cheese Enchiladas that were tasty along with rice and beans. The other dish was Fajitas that were fresh and tasty too. Our server was very nice and the Restaurant has been there forever! It could use some remodeling outside, it looks old and worn.

I have been going to The Whole Enchilada for almost 40 years. The food has always been good; the service is always great and done with a smile. My favorites are the cheese enchiladas, pork tamales, mama mia tacos - so great, and the chicken fajitas. The place is pleasant on the inside and I feel like I am always returning to a friend's house. Yes, they could do with a bit of repair to the awnings and maybe a coat of paint on the outside, but tell me who of us couldn't do with a little work? I will just keep returning for the food and smiling servers - both are just great.

Mexican food has always been a craved genre of cuisine for me, but finding true, authentic Mexican is hard to come by. That was until my priest recommended I check out The Whole Enchilada. Now, usually my priest and I don't get along, because I lost the Church league basketball championship. But, he does know about my passion for genuine south-of-the-border dishes. To have the courage to push beyond his hatred of me to recommend this place meant that it had to be divine. I wasted no time. Almost immediately I got into my car, a 1977 Honda civic, and called The Whole Enchilada. What I was expecting was yummy Mexican food, what I wasn't expecting was the kindest service I had ever experienced, being even better than Chick-fil-a. The phone was answered by Lyanah. A soft, sweet voice guided me through the elaborate menu, recommending her personal favorite while describing in great detail the specialties of this fine establishment. I placed my order, 4 entrées of what The Whole Enchilada calls "Mama Mias." When I arrived to the eatery (I had ridden my bike as I need to cut some calories) Lyanah was waiting for me at the most beautiful take out window I had ever seen. She served me with a smile and filled my soul with hope. Again, this service couldn't have been better. Though I don't believe in tipping, if I did, she would have gotten a large tip! Lyanah blessed me today, and after I rode the 8 miles home, I realized how great her recommendation actually was. Whole Enchilada, you have gained a new regular. Lyanah, you have gained a new friend. Great experience!
