This is not anywhere near the A&W I grew up enjoying. What happened to the Mama Burger, Teen Burger & Baby Burger? The only thing recognizable is the Papa Burger. After ordering a kid's meal, cheeseburger, onion rings & root beer as well as the A6 a cheeseburger, fries & root beer meal. The counter person only offered us one cup, I had to ask for the second cup. Then trying to understand how I'd know our meal was ready, I guess they don't believe in calling out the number on the receipt or ticket. I inquired of this and was told they'd call out "Cheeseburger Meal"I'm glad the place wasn't packed full or I wouldn't have known when our meal was ready. Oddly they don't ask if you're dining in, yet everything was in bags within a plastic bag. Aren't trays offered anymore? This was the worst cheeseburger ever! I believe a 7-11 cheeseburger far surpasses this horrible mess! I had to use an excess of napkins to free up what was supposed to be a cheeseburger between the buns. What the hell?!! All signs suggested we should have gone elsewhere, from the idiotic drivers making a simple drive from Oakley to Brentwood a nightmare to this fast-food farce of a restaurant. Waiting for our food, this too wasn't worth the effort sitting there in this wasteland. Save your money! Maybe the KFC attached to A&W is the better choice.

I love the freezes and the food is pretty good, however, expect to wait forever. They don't have much help. When in doubt, go through the drive-thru. ? It's faster... usually...

I should have looked at other reviews before coming here. I had mine and my daughter's hopes up to get some good A&W food. We didn't even get to try the food. We walked inside ready to order and waited for a cashier to come over to take our order. Unfortunately that never happened, we waited 5 minutes watching the employees wander around aimlessly in the back never once acknowledging our presence. They did know we were waiting because they glanced at us and didn't even say "we'll be with you shortly ". We walked out still hungry, however that might have been for the best, the place had a really bad smell to it like it had rotten food sitting out. The place also looked dirty and in need of serious cleaning. I guess the owner of this restaurant doesn't care about losing money.

Got here at 9pm and had to wait 15 minutes out front to get 2 double bacon cheeseburgers. One with milkshake one with root beer. 25$ no napkins, ketchup. Fries were cold and hard, burger was undersized for the money, thin patties. Milkshake was decent but won't be going back

Husband ordered thru the drive-thru. He ordered a Papa burger and a cheeseburger. Got home and both cheese burgers but charged for the Papa burger. Will not go back.
Staff appears to be far more interested chatting amongst themselves rather than making food for customers. The person taking my order burped into the microphone. The person taking my car just stuck their hand out without any conversation or confirmation of the order whatsoever, then tried to hand me my card, receipt, and drink all at once. I was asked leave the drive-through and drive around the building and park in a mobile order spot so they could deliver my food to me... when the drive-through was completely empty. I've had some terrible fast food service before, but this takes the cake.

Unfortunately, I need to add to the negative reviews. No complaints about food taste but we ordered via the drive through and they had left out a burger. Basically we were charged for something we didn't get. We were already long gone from the location and didn't want to go back. There was no ketchup provided nor did they ask if we wanted any for our burgers, fries and onion rings. To top it off, it was pricey for fast food. This location is combined with KFC. Tip: Check your orders before you leave as they aren't checking. Perhaps they can't handle the menu orders being combined with KFC.
