What black reparations look like at this Safeway now; Two black ladies, groceries in hand carts and arms, just walk straight out of the store, in front of Safeway management. This is the first time I've seen this happen, and apparently it's not the first time this has taken place, and at 3pm in the daytime.

Would love to have some shopping baskets to make easy a quick snack trip ; not looking to push around a shopping cart and create traffic flow with only 4 items in my Cart .. a basket would be nice

I had a great visit to Safeway today! The store was clean and stocked. I headed over to grab a sandwich and the deli looked pristine and very organized. I have to give a huge shoutout to Nyghia from the deli!! Amazing customer service and friendliness! I asked if she would be able to make me a hot custom sandwich, she said she can make anything just walk her through it. I knew it was a messy and time consuming sandwich and I was so impressed by her willingness to help satisfy my craving! Great job Nyghia thank you again! This sandwich hit fasho!

Most fruit is soft or moldy. Wish this safeway was more like the Balfour Safeway. I keep trying this Safeway every once in a while to see if it has gotten better, but no. The staff is super nice and kind, but the "fresh" fruit is always low on stock or moldy.

Like this store because all staff members are active especially Melissa she is really helpful to everybody and she resolve any issue simply with her nice smile. Good to Safeway

This Safeway got remodeled a while back. It's so much nicer now. There's a Starbucks inside this location too.

Ever since the store remodel it has significantly improved. The store is now well organized and stocked. The only downside and it seems to be at every safeway is the lines back up. Maybe not enough checkers. On a side note the theft at this safeway is absolutely horrendous. Every time I see kids and adults walk right out the door with items they did not pay for.I spoke to a safeway employee and they said they can not do anything except call the police - no Store employee interaction with the thief. Our society diffidently needs to change.

Seriously the WORST customer service here!! Cashiers rarely greet you. They are usually too busy talking to another co-worker and don't really have time to talk to you. I walked up to Kaleb's line. No "hi, how are you" no "hi", NOTHING!! If I am going to hand you my money then at least be nice! As I was leaving, the cashier starts giggling and looking at his co-worker. I was slightly offended as it seemed he was laughing about me. This might be why there is always a large amount of people at self checkout and not so many in the outrageous lines and treated like crap.

So while I am extremely disappointed that my order was not ready when promised and I had to wait a long time and ended up being late, as a result, I have to say that the baguette sandwich tray itself was exceptional.

Nothing like waiting at the counter, having one of the cashiers walk by, hit a button, tell you to wait.....10 minutes later no one. Hit the button at the front of the counter.....wait 5 more minutes.....give up with disgust and leave. This not the first time I've been left stranded waiting for help in this store. There is a Safeway on Balfour.....don't waste you time at this one. Better yet. Sprouts is right up Sand Canyon.

The reason I give this location a five star is because I've been a member of Safeway all over California for a long time and the staff is also very friendly and courteous. All Managers here are helpful and professional Also clean nice location thank you, I've been a client for 20 some years FYI, SF, BURLINGAME , Danville, Blackhawk, San Ramon, Dublin, Monterey, Laguna Beach, New Port.....And nice Stores in Brentwood.... And many more LOL Love the app and the rewards program. THANK YOU [email protected]

On August 3, 2022, at approximately 2:20pm, I made the mistake of entering your store to quickly pick up a few items and then head home. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Instead, I stumbled into yet another uncomfortable event at your store that left me feeling absolutely bewildered and completely disgusted. More specifically, I witnessed a young underaged female walk down the liquor aisle and stuff a bottle of Jäegermeister into her backpack and then casually walk out the door with it. During this disturbing encounter, I also observed several Safeway employees watching her boldly steal the liquor as well. Much to my dismay, your employees then passively stood by and allowed her to exit the store without challenging her in any way. When I realized your employees did absolutely nothing to prevent her from leaving, I approached one of them and asked if he had seen what had just occurred. He responded by acknowledging that he seen it, and that there was nothing they could do because Safeway policy forbids any type of employee intervention. He was clearly frustrated and said that this type of crime happens all the time at Safeway and that people are allowed to come and go freely without paying for merchandise, even the known repeat violators. He went on to tell me that they don't even have security guards because Safeway management considers it to be a liability. Had I not witnessed this first-hand I may not have believed him. Shame on you Safeway. Your blatant disregard for the safety and sanctity of your customers and staff is appalling. Your employees intentionally allowed a young teen to walk out of your store and into the streets with a bottle of your booze, without so much as blinking an eye. I'm sure you're already aware of this, but YOU would ultimately be held responsible if that little girl was inadvertently injured or killed as a result of consuming the alcohol that you so foolishly provided her. Trust me, if that we're my child and something tragic had happened to her as a result of your irresponsibility, I would not rest until those found to be responsible were punished to the fullest extent of the law. Ultimately, your grossly misguided attempt to somehow mitigate liability by turning a blind eye to the chronic shoplifting and other nuisance criminal activity that plagues your store, is directly contributing to the moral decline of our community. We shouldn't have to risk being exposed to crime and lawlessness whenever we need to go out and buy groceries. We also shouldn't have to pay ungodly prices to help cover your losses due to your negligence. Get it together Safeway. Your actions are unacceptable. UPDATE: August 5, 2022 Dawn M., Although I appreciate you getting back with me so quickly, lip-service was definitely NOT the response I was hoping for. Until your corporation decides to make safeguarding your patrons and employees a priority, I have absolutely no desire to waste my time chatting with you or any other Safeway representative. Bottom line, you have a duty to maintain your store in a reasonably safe condition, and to protect your guests and visitors from the foreseeable criminal acts of others. Let's chat when this starts happening.

I go back and forth from coming here and going to Sprouts but I won't be coming back again. I downloaded the Safeway app on my phone and it was my first time using it. I downloaded a $1 off coupon for salsa and I didn't get the coupon because I already entered my phone number. The cashier did say she could add the $1 off after our back and forth but I told her it was fine. Arguing over $1 dollar when I always buy a lot of food here is ridiculous. You guys lost a customer.

This is for the bakery. My family ordered a German chocolate cake for my birthday. Check out the writing, apparently the baker didn't plan enough room for the word "birthday" and they changed my name from Todd to Tobb.
