We saw this place while walking around the plaza and decided to give it a try. The worker told us their most popular item was the cheesecake, but we opted to try the cheesetella. The cheesetella is the original castella sponge cake but with cheddar cheese in the middle. We were excited to give it a try but the cheese was disappointing as it did not add much flavor to the cake. The cake was also a little dry.
Tried their most famous Cheesetella, for me, it's basically a lightly sweetened sponge cake. Over the years I had bought Uber cheesetella for a friend's birthday, it's definitely more photogenic but taste wise, I wasn't impressed. Then one day I was really craving dessert and they happened to have only original cheesetella and cheesecake so I gratefully took the cheesecake. Best Japanese cheesecakes ever!! I drive almost 2 hours from apple valley to get some of these cakes. They are well worth the drive. Delicious ?, everytime my favorite is the original and the cream one. Highly recommended ? them!!
